BetMGM, DraftKings Set Partnerships for North Carolina Sports Betting
As the state moves forward, North Carolina sports betting got another partnership update recently. DraftKings and BetMGM have found their partners for online sports betting in NASCAR and the Charlotte Motor Speedway respectively. Here are the latest updates as betting in North Carolina gets closer.
DraftKings NC Teams up with NASCAR
DraftKings NC has decided to continue a great working relationship with NASCAR as the operator will partner with the professional auto racing league in North Carolina. DraftKings has worked with NASCAR in other legal states and it's no surprise the sportsbook chose to work with NASCAR again in a state where the sport is extremely popular.
BetMGM NC Strikes Deal with Charlotte Motor Speedway
The Charlotte Motor Speedway is home to the Coca-Cola 600 which is a NASCAR Cup Series race. BetMGM has formed a partnership with the racetrack which will help the sportsbook get online sports betting running when the state launches. BetMGM has several partnerships across the country with leagues and teams including the NBA and Boston Red Sox.

Six of the seven sportsbooks that applied for a sports betting license have a deal with an in-state facility, team, or league. That is part of the North Carolina sports betting law that was signed last year. Still, no official date for North Carolina sports betting as sports bettors in the state anxiously wait for the online market to launch. The Super Bowl was ruled out but March Madness is looking likely as the North Carolina Lottery Commission has a goal of being live by then. The NCAA Tournament takes place in mid-March.
