Redskins TE Fred Davis continues to look good in practices, and HC Mike Shanahan said that because of the positive results the tight end has displayed, he expects Davis to play roughly half of next Monday’s game.
Over his last 19 games, Davis has averaged 6.9 fantasy points, which would have been the 11th-highest average in 2012. The problem is that he has only played 19 games in two seasons. (He missed four games in 2011 due to suspension after failing multiple drug tests.) His Achilles is obviously a concern, but it's a good thing that his situation isn't changing for the worse. If both he and Robert Griffin III are healthy, we can expect low-end TE1 numbers along the lines of Jermichael Finley.
