Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has received clearance from his team of doctors to play on Sunday against the Jets. But Gronkowski has yet to receive official clearance from his football team.
Per a league source, a final decision regarding whether Gronkowski will play on Sunday has not yet been made. Officially, Gronkowski is listed as questionable to play.
A decision is expected to come in the morning. The Patriots and Jets play at 1:00 p.m. ET; inactives will be released at roughly 11:30 a.m. ET.
Nothing is easy when it comes to the Patriots... Fortunately, this is an early game, so we'll know his status either way and you'll have time to make adjustments to your lineup if he doesn't play. We rank Gronk as our top play at TE in standard leagues and number-two in PPR. Even if he's limited, he'll likely be targeted heavily in the red zone and we expect TE1 numbers at the end of the day.
