WR Brandin Cooks was with the WR/TE group during the individual period of Thursday’s practice.

It looks like Cooks and the Texans have made up for the time being, and it will do neither party any good to see the wide receiver sitting on the bench. This undoubtedly steps on Nico Collins' toes, as it will be difficult for him to hit double-digit targets —as he did in Week 10— if Cooks is lining up opposite him. Both WRs can be considered high-floor/low-ceiling Flex plays against the Commanders in Week 11.

Brandin Cooks was at the team’s facility on Friday and he is with the team again on Wednesday, although he’s not a full participant in the team’s practice. Multiple reporters at the open portion of the session noted that Cooks was not taking part in drills with the rest of the team.

Cooks was unhappy that he was not traded ahead of last week’s trade deadline and he did not play in last Thursday’s loss to the Eagles, which created some question about what the future holds for him in Houston, the story said. At this point, owners probably shouldn't count on him playing in Week 10, but still other reports say Wednesday is typically an off day for Cooks, so perhaps we'll have a better read in the days to come.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on RB Ezekiel Elliott playing vs. Packers next week: "Yes, I expect Zeke back against Green Bay."

With the Cowboys on bye in Week 9, Elliott has extra time to heal his knee sprain. That's upsetting for Tony Pollard's fantasy managers after the stud running back earned 131 rushing yards and three touchdowns in his first start of the season last week. Elliott will no doubt return as the 1A option if he is indeed good to go next week.

Texans WR Brandin Cooks’ status is up in the air for tonight’s game against the Eagles after multiple teams — including the #Rams and #Cowboys — couldn’t pull off a trade before Tuesday’s deadline.

With Nico Collins already being declared out, the Texans wide receiver group tonight looks like a practice squad group. Houston is now a 14-point underdog against the Eagles, and the line could continue to move with this added news. Dameon Pierce is the only fantasy-viable option on this team at the moment.

Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks didn't practice again Wednesday for personal reasons, per league sources.

The WR didn't practice Tuesday either, citing a wrist and personal reasons. Again, one day after trade deadline expired with no deal reached, Cooks is not practicing Wednesday. Cooks expressed displeasure on social media Tuesday after no trade due to his trade demands. This is something to watch if you're counting on Cooks for Week 9, which is a Thursday night game against the Eagles.

Receiver Brandin Cooks was listed on the injury report with a wrist, although he was in the “full participation” category.

Cooks is making more news for his apparent anger at not being traded today. He tweeted the following: "Don’t take a man’s kindness for granted. Covered for the lies for too long those days are done. Crossed the line with playing with my career." If you're counting on Cooks for Thursday's home game against the Eagles, this will be something to monitor.

With the Cowboys expected to be without Ezekiel Elliott on Sunday vs. the Bears, Tony Pollard is in line to see significant work in his fourth career start. Malik Davis, Qadree Ollison may both be brought up Saturday from the practice squad; the Cowboys have had three RBs active each game so far.

It's been a while since Tony Pollard's most recent official start (12/20/2020), but the 18 touches and 132 scrimmage yards he accrued would be a nice fantasy boost here in Week 8, 2022. He is currently ranked as a top-ten option against a Bears defense that ranks 26th in aFPA to the running back position.

Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott has a sprained knee and it doesn't look good for Sunday.

Hill reported that Elliott was not out at practice doing rehab during the media portion today as expected. If Zeke can't go, look for Pollard to have an increased workload with Dowdle and Davis perhaps getting some snaps behind him.

Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb (hip) said he was “full go” in practice today, feeling explosive with nothing restricting him. “I’m great. I’m ready to go.” Set to start Sunday at Lions.

The Cowboys are suddenly looking very enticing after being forced to lean on their defense en route to a 4-2 start. Lamb is set to meet back up with Dak Prescott in a Week 7 matchup against fantasy's most giving defenses.
