One pleasant surprise thus far in camp has TE Tyler Conklin. Coming off his best season of his career last season with the Minnesota Vikings, Conklin has quickly built a strong connection in camp with QB Zach Wilson.

The story went on to say the early look is that Conklin will be a favorite red-zone target for the Jets’ offense. He may quietly have yet another career year in his first season with the Jets. The Jets also have former Bengal Uzomah who is a red zone target himself, along with the rookie Ruckert. Conklin is well down our TE list at 29th, so right now he's only a consideration in deeper leagues, or those that utilize multiple TE slots.

The speedy free agent acquisition, D.J. Chark, has emerged as a dynamic force on the outside of the Lions offense. Chark is consistently getting open down the field and has developed a quick chemistry with QB Jared Goff.

Chark’s ability to make catches away from his body and adjust to the ball in the air have proven special throughout camp, the story said. The Lions desperately needed upgrades at wide receiver and Chark has proven to be a shrewd investment so far. Even when first-round rookie Williams gets onto the field later this year, Chark has proven he deserves a big role in the more aggressive Lions offense, the story went on to say.

The start of the regular season could be in jeopardy for Zach Wilson.

The New York Jets quarterback, who underwent knee surgery Tuesday, could return in four to six weeks, a source told The Athletic.

Most of the timetables have said 2-4 weeks so this certainly puts in question Wilson's Week 1 status. If Wilson is closer to six weeks, he wouldn't return until Week 4. Missing four weeks would cause Wilson to miss Week 1 and return Week 2.

The tweet went on to say there were no surprises from the original diagnosis. Cimini added they won't put him on the field until he's 100%, but good news for the Jets. Wilson remains a question mark for Week 1. For what it's worth, Flacco has been good in camp thus far.

Melvin Gordon appears to be a full participant in practice.

Before Gordon went down there was a lot of talk about the workload split in practice with Williams. Some said it was 70-30 in favor of Williams but others argued it was more like 60-40. Gordon and Williams are poised to have similar roles, much like last year, we think. That's obviously going to cap Williams potential, especially after the team brought back Gordon, who was a free agent.

This is clearly a detriment to Zach Wilson's sophomore season if the tests come back positive. If the baton gets passed to Mike White, we could see some extreme short-yardage usage for the running back tandem of Breece Hall and Michael Carter

While Dobbins isn't likely to be seen much before the season-opener, expect to see a lot out of Badie, Justice Hill, and Corey Clement in the preseason while the Ravens get a better read on Dobbins' health. Clement seems be the special teams specialist while Hill is reportedly on the right side of the roster bubble.

The presumptive new WR3 after Tim Patrick's season-ending torn ACL was Hamler's first padded reps with Russell Wilson and the gang today.

There are a fair amount of mouths to feed within the Denver Broncos offense, but nonetheless, Hamler will have an opportunity to cut out a portion of the offense for himself as he returns from his own torn ACL that he suffered last season. A second-round pick in 2020, he has only seen the field in 17 career games, accruing a 35-455-3 stat line in the process.

Broncos reporter Benjamin Allbright contests that the split between second-year Javonte Williams and veteran Melvin Gordon has "NOT been 70/30, per rep chart, it's 54/46".

It doesn't get much closer to splitting reps right down the middle than "54/46". Both backs can still be fantasy viable, but clearly, there is a cap to each one's production as long as the other is in the way. It's very possible both could end up nearing RB2 numbers, which would make Melvin Gordon far and away a better value at his current ninth-round ADP.

Greg Dulcich seems to be doing a bit more at practice each day.

DiLalla wondered in his tweet if Dulcich could help fill the void left by Patrick. He went on to describe Dulcich as a "big-bodied guy with the speed and athleticism to split out away from the line of scrimmage," and he also added Dulcich "could be a sneaky good option to help fill that void." It could make sense, especially with Albert O expected to have a huge role at TE.
