Packers’ HC Matt LaFleur told reporters that QB Aaron Rodgers will not practice today due to a thumb injury.

Seems like it's just a rest day for Rodgers. The tweet went to say LaFleur said, “We don't have much concern as far as gameday.”

Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has been charged with misdemeanor assault for shoving a credentialed media worker after Monday's loss in Kansas City to the Chiefs.

Adams was cited for an "intentional, overt act" that inflicted "bodily injury," according to court records released Wednesday, the story said. The man shoved by Adams suffered whiplash, a headache and a possible minor concussion from the incident, according to records. He was working for ESPN's Monday Night Football as a freelance photographer. Adams did apologize after the incident but he could be facing fines and a possible suspension from the NFL, it was reported earlier this week.

It wasn't a pretty scene. As Adams was leaving the field and heading to the tunnel, a cameraman got in his way and Adams pushed him down. The league is reviewing the situation. Reportedly nothing is serious, so it's good news for owners of Hall, who finally saw him take over the RB1 spot in the Jets backfield. Hall ran for for a line of 17-66-1 to Carter's 9-15-0. Both backs added two catches in the game as well. It was only a matter of time before he'd get the lead role and it looks like that happened last week.

The Giants' top two quarterbacks, Daniel Jones (ankle) and Tyrod Taylor (concussion) have both exited Sunday's game against the Bears.

The Giants' third quarterback is...Saquon Barkley, so it could be some Wildcat action for the Giants for a bit. Jones didn't have a strong day throwing the football but he did rush for two touchdowns. Taylor came in and went 1/3 for 11 yards before the possible concussion.

The Jets made an effort to get Garrett Wilson the ball right away after he barely played early in Week 1 against the Ravens.

Wilson drew comparisons to Justin Jefferson in the story, which is obviously high praise. But the author said Wilson was that good against the Browns. Wilson finished with eight catches (on a game-high 14 targets) for 102 yards and two touchdowns. Through two weeks, when Wilson is on the field, Joe Flacco has a 102.5 passer rating, per TruMedia. It’s 63.8 when Wilson is off the field, the story said.

Lazard missed all of practice last week and did not play Sunday, as the tweet reminded us. The Packers play this week on Sunday Night vs. the Bears so Lazard owners may need to have a plan in place if his status takes us right up to game time.

Hall had a fumble and a dropped pass across his 16 opportunities (six carries, ten targets) and ceded a majority of work to sophomore Michael Carter, 38 snaps to 50 snaps. The rookie has the entire season to look forward to so there's no reason to panic from a fantasy perspective, but the backfield is sure to be led by Carter in the short term.

The thought is that Allen Lazard will be listed as questionable for Week 1, which leaves a brief window of opportunity for him to see the field.

While Lazard missing time could mean a boost for any of the four wide receivers listed above, it may be even more likely that team veterans Robert Tonyan (TE) and Aaron Jones (RB) will get peppered with targets to kick off the season. Last season, the team ran 24 plays out of 21 personnel, but they may show that look a whole lot more with Tonyan, Jones, and A.J. Dillon if Lazard ends up missing one or more games.
