Steelers QB Kenny Pickett said he plans to play on Thursday vs. the Titans.

Pickett said he did light throwing today during a walk-through style practice. He was listed as limited on Monday, according to reports. As we've said before, we can't always trust a player when he says he's going to play. It's very possible the Steelers have a different plan, but for now things look at least optimistic for Pickett to be on the field for Week 9's TNF game.

The Steelers may have their starting quarterback for Thursday’s game against the Titans.

Head coach Mike Tomlin said in his Monday press conference that “the door is definitively ajar” for Kenny Pickett to play, despite suffering a rib injury on Sunday.

It's a Thursday game for the Steelers this week against the Titans, which seems to be the bigger issue for Pickett as far as his status goes. Tomlin said Pickett will likely be a game-time call based on the information he had. The good news is there is no structural damage to his ribs. Tomlin added they will evaluate his ability to throw, his level of comfort and his ability of effectiveness, and "let that be our guide in terms of determining his availability.” If he can't go, Trubisky would get the start.

It's a short week for the Steeles, but Rapoport said the team will wait and see how Pickett feels today and how he may be able to rebound. But because of the short week, Trubisky is "likely" the option this Thursday night, according to Rapoport.

Steelers QB Kenny Pickett is out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Jaguars with a rib injury.

Pickett was evaluated in the locker room and the team decided to keep him out. Mitchell Trubisky is now in at quarterback. Pickett went 10/16 for 73 yards and was sacked once.

Gray was a bigger name in the dynasty world and was running as the Giants RB4, or most recently with Barkley out as the RB3. Jackson likely takes over that role. Jackson had a nice run a season ago when Jonathan Taylor was hurt, but since then has mostly bounced around.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts finished the game with a knee brace.

Hurts was one of the last out of the locker room after halftime and reports said Mariota was close to getting ready to enter the game. Hurts was seen limping after the game but the QB played off the injury during his postgame press conference and says he'll be fine. It was a season-low for rushing yards for Hurts as well. It will be worth monitoring heading into Week 8, which is an early Sunday game against the Commanders.

Running back Saquon Barkley made his intentions crystal clear with the NFL's trade deadline less than two weeks away: He wants to remain with the New York Giants.

"Sitting here, everyone knows how I feel. Everyone knows I don't want to get traded," Barkley said. "I don't think anyone in their right mind would want to get traded anywhere. It's not an easy thing to do. You have to move. I have a family. I would love to be here."

In fantasy terms, there are a ton of other spots we would rather see Barkley play out the 2023 season, but this is certainly nice for Giants fans who don't want to see the back move on. We'll have to see how much the team weighs his intentions as the October 31st trade deadline approaches.

Head coach Ron Rivera didn’t sound alarmed by Jahan Dotson’s production on Monday. Rivera said “it’s just a matter of time” before Dotson gets back to making an impact on offense.

“As we continue to work and try to distribute the ball to all the players, it’ll happen,” Rivera said, via the team’s website. “It’s just one of those things that sometimes, guys will be targeted more . . . When a guy’s not getting the ball right now, it’s just a matter of time. I think that’s the thing that we all have to be patient with. This is a group of receivers . . . and we’re gonna distribute the ball based on gameplans and who our opponents are.”

Dotson was targeted just once by quarterback Sam Howell last week against the Falcons. But as fantasy owners know, Dotson hasn't been great most of this season. Through six games, Dotson has 17 catches for 140 yards and a touchdown. That’s a big drop for a player who averaged nearly 15 yards a catch last season, the story pointed out.
