Giants WR Sterling Shepard (ankle) didn't practice Thursday. He's missed the first two practices of the week and was seen in a walking boot on Tuesday. He seems like a long shot to play this week, which would leave Roger Lewis as the team's No. 1 WR.

Giants WR Sterling Shepard (ankle) did not practice Wednesday. Shepard is looking doubtful for Week 6. With Odell Beckham and Brandon Marshall out for the year, the Giants are in a bad way at receiver.

Giants WR Brandon Marshall announces on his IG that he is having season-ending surgery tomorrow.

Fantasy Impact:

This is a bit of a surprise as it was reported Marshall's injury was a sprain. It officially leaves Lewis and Shepard, when he's healthy, as the team's top two WRs. TE Engram should have a bigger role as well.

Giants WR Dwayne Harris is out for the season, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Fantasy Impact:

Harris has a fractured foot. Pretty much buried on the depth chart, it's only fantasy noteworthy because of all the Giant injuries at the position. The team likely will be without Beckham, Marshall and Shepard heading into Week 6 leaving Lewis and King as the team's top-two the way it stands today.

Giants believe WR Sterling Shepard suffered sprained ankle similar to one he had in summer; more tests Monday, per source.

Fantasy Impact:

Schefter added it could be two weeks before Shepard plays so it's a week-to-week situation. Compared to the injuries to Beckham and Marshall, it sounds like Shepard will be back sooner than later and will likely be the top target for Eli Manning, so he's probably worth grabbing as soon as possible.

Giants WR Odell Beckham (ankle/leg) carted off; report says headed for surgery

The worst-case scenario might have arrived for the New York Giants.

With four minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, already down three of their top receivers due to injury, Odell Beckham Jr. landed awkwardly after attempting to catch a high slant pass and left the field in a trainer's cart.

Wincing in pain, Beckham covered his face as the cart left the field. The injury was to his left ankle, which was trapped against the ground on the play.

Fantasy Impact:

This didn't look good. ESPN is reporting Beckham is already headed for surgery. NFL Red Zone reported it's a broken fibula. His ankle got pinned and bent under him after getting tackled. The Giants lost their top-three WRs this game so their offense will have some major questions heading into next week. Owners should probably plan on not having Beckham long-term, possibly the rest of the season.

The Giants are down a couple of wide receivers in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Chargers.

Sterling Shepard left with a left ankle injury and Brandon Marshall followed with a left ankle injury of his own a couple of plays later. Marshall has been taken back to the locker room on a cart while Shepard remains on the sideline getting attention from the team’s medical staff.

Dwayne Harris also left the game with a foot injury.

Fantasy Impact:

The Marshall injury appeared to be much more serious, which at some point could give Shepard perhaps a more significant role if Marshall would have to miss time. However, Shepard was been ruled out for the day as well, as was Harris.

Giants WR Odell Beckham (ankle) took limited practice reps again Friday. Beckham said that his ankle sprain is a “6-8 week injury” per beat writer Jordan Raanan. He says he feels okay, but he’s no sure thing for Monday Night Football. If he’s out, Sterling Shepard would be the most trustworthy of the Giants’ receivers after Brandon Marshall’s quiet game in Week 1. Hopefully there is more clarity by Sunday morning.
