Tight end Vernon Davis expressed surprise at the 49ers' plan following the 49ers’ overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Davis spoke about his desire to see the team utilize all of its offensive playmakers.
Davis and Jim Harbaugh met this week, and Davis told the same things to his head coach, he said.
"I had on my mind some things I felt we could've done better," Davis said on Wednesday. "And I pointed them out to him, as far as getting everybody involved -- I mean, everybody, all the playmakers that we have.
"That's what we need to win games. And that's what I'm here for, to win games, help my teammates win games, go to the playoffs and get a chance to appear in the Super Bowl. That's all I think about."
With a severe lack of talent at WR, the 49ers' use of Vernon Davis is perplexing. Downgrade him until he starts to see more than the 4.0 targets per game that he's been getting through two weeks.
