Carson Wentz has a little bruise on his right hand.

Wentz is technically day-to-day but the tweet went on to say he'll be fine for the team's Week 13 game at Miami. Wentz and the Eagles offense need to get back on track this week after two sluggish games against New England and Seattle. The offense has now gone over four quarters without scoring a touchdown over those last two contests.

For the second consecutive week, the Philadelphia Eagles lost at home to a member of the NFL elite and failed to score more than 10 points in the process. To add injury to insult, their starting quarterback might have taken the biggest hit.

Carson Wentz hurt his right hand during the course of Philly's 17-9 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. The QB underwent X-rays during the game and the results were negative, coach Doug Pederson told reporters.

Wentz said he "should be good" according to the story, but this is now two games in a row he and the offense have really struggled. Reports he left the trainers room postgame with his right hand wrapped in ice. McCown is the team's backup QB if Wentz can't play at Miami in Week 13.

What Jordan Matthews does have is chemistry with Carson Wentz -- one of his best friends -- along with a deep understanding of Doug Pederson's offense. Both were evident in his second game back last season when he sprang loose for a 56-yard touchdown against the Tennessee Titans. He played 36 percent of the snaps on average and usually received two to three targets per game in 2018.

Last year Matthews caught 20 balls for 300 yards, averaging a career-best 15 yards per catch. He's only 27 but is more of a slot receiver than a deep threat.
