Jeremy Maclin’s “mysterious illness” will be more clearly defined Tuesday, according to an older brother of the Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver.
“When I say definitely, we definitely will have some news tomorrow,” Andre Maclin told Sporting News. “That’s when we find out exactly what’s going on and when (the Maclin camp) will address it and talk.”
Maclin has yet to practice with the Eagles this summer and last week left for his hometown, St. Louis, to be further evaluated by doctors due to an undisclosed illness.
Added Andre Maclin: “They kind of have us on a gag order until tomorrow. ... But he’s fine, he’s fine. That much I can say.”
Asked if he expects Maclin to play for the Eagles this season, the brother said, “I’m confident about that as well.”
Seems like a bit a good news for Maclin, however we'll have to wait until we get official word. For those who had early drafts, Maclin was too much of a risk to take early on, but perhaps whatever news we find out Tuesday will give those who still have to draft a better indication on where to pick him. As the story said, he's yet to practice.
