Tim Tebow is in a serious quarterback competition all right. He and Brady Quinn are neck and neck in the battle for the No. 2 quarterback spot.
Based on the way the reps were divided during the Broncos’ full-pad practice Monday, Kyle Orton is the Broncos’ No. 1 quarterback free and clear. There was no mixing in the other quarterbacks with the first-team offense. Orton took them all.
Occasionally, the veteran Quinn, the team’s No. 3 quarterback all of last season, mixed in ahead of Tebow with the No. 2 offense, although it still appears Tebow is the No. 2.
It seems like an Orton-to-Miami trade is becoming less likely. The Broncos, under Fox, want to run the ball more so, regardless, Orton's value will take a hit this year and those expecting to grab Tebow will have to wait it out a bit more. We had Tebow ranked 19th among our QBs, a sneaky QB2 option based on the potential rushing yards and TDs he could rack up. This situation needs some more time it looks like...
