Receiver Ryan Broyles was on a short leash in his season debut against the Redskins. The coaches were trying to let him gradually get his legs under him after he came off a second major knee surgery last December.
There will be no leash this week. With Nate Burleson (broken arm) out, Broyles likely will start and get most of the work in the slot.
“Yeah, just go out and produce,” he said. “I am definitely ready. I feel good.”
Broyles, who had three catches for 34 yards, said he felt like he has cleared all his mental and physical hurdles.
Nate Burleson got off to a pretty hot start (19-239) and was the #29 WR in PPR formats before breaking his arm in an automobile accident. If Broyles can handle the snaps, he certainly has that kind of upside.
