New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie went down in practice Thursday with a noncontact knee injury and was taken for an MRI exam, according to two league sources.
The results of the MRI weren't immediately known, but the team is concerned it could be a serious injury. One source described it as a hyperextension, but that hasn't been confirmed by the team.
Fantasy Impact:
This is bad news for the Jets defense and good news for Ben Roethlisberger and Co. this week. Cromartie hasn't been elite in coverage this season, but his absence would impact Sunday's game.
