Running back Donald Brown has been a steady contributor in recent weeks. Thursday night at Tennessee, he provided more of the same.
But in case you’re wondering – and you likely are – Brown won’t necessarily get the majority of carries moving forward.
The Colts, coach Chuck Pagano said, are going to continue to divide carries between Richardson and Brown they have in most games. That means you should look for Richardson to continue getting the lion’s share of the work.
“I think the way we’re going with those two guys has been productive for both players,” Pagano said. “A guy gets hot, you can always go with the hot hand but I like the way we’re doing things now.”
Brown rushed 14 times for 80 yards and two TDs Thursday night in Tennessee. Trent Richardson got eight carries. But it sounds like the team will at least attempt to give Richardson a chance to get going rather than just giving the bulk of the work to Brown. Like the story said, nothing is really going to change here.
