Scouting report

JAX WR Allen Robinson - Week 3, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Baltimore
Robinson is off to a slow start and caught just three passes for 54 yards last week on just five targets. Five targets is not what you have in mind for a No. 1 receiver. He also showed up on the injury report with an illness, but that was probably from watching the game tape of last week's debacle at San Diego. He'll be fine by game day. Despite the low target rate last week, he still has a team-high 19 through two games. Better days are ahead, possibly as soon as this week.

JAX WR Allen Robinson - Week 2, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at San Diego
Robinson hauled in six catches for 72 yards last week against Green Bay on 15 targets. A solid effort, but not what you'd expect of the NFL's TD reception leader a year ago, especially on the catch rate of 40 percent. If he continues to get those kind of targets, the catches should follow, as well as the touchdowns. This game figures to be a shootout and Robinson owners should benefit. He's a must-start this week.

JAX WR Allen Robinson - Week 1, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Green Bay
Robinson's 19 receptions of 25 or more yards last season led the NFL and though Green Bay's pass defense is tough, Robinson is emerging as an every-week threat. Robinson will get his share of looks in this game, which should result in a solid day for the No. 1 receiver. He's a must-play in all formats.

JAX WR Allen Robinson - 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

2016 Fantasy Outlook
Robinson's targets jumped from 81 as a rookie to 153 last season, which was eighth-best in the league. He turned his increased opportunities into a line of 80-1,400-14, which clearly placed him among the league's fantasy stars. You would like to see a better catch percentage, which would translate into an even bigger season for the 23-year-old. Robinson has been the 7th receiver selected in early drafts with an ADP of 13, so he's obviously highly valued. A lot of his production in 2015 was rooted in the fact the Jaguars were behind quite a bit last season, but they should be better this season. That said, Robinson should also still see plenty of opportunities to put up big numbers, so don't be afraid to grab the emerging star early.

JAX WR Allen Robinson - Week 17, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Houston
Robinson was shut out in the first half of last week's game and, like the rest of the Jaguars, came alive in garbage time, finishing with six receptions for 151 yards and a score. He's had at least 100 yards or a touchdown in 11 consecutive games, including an outing against the Texans. Robinson is dealing with a shoulder issue, so check his status Friday, but he should be good to go. And he's a must-start in all formats.

JAX WR Allen Robinson - Week 16, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at New Orleans
Robinson has had two quiet weeks in a row, following up his one-catch effort two weeks ago with a three-reception day for 57 yards. Such is life when you've emerged as a No. 1 receiver. He scored, however, in both weeks to make them both decent days and now has touchdowns in four consecutive games, five of his past six and eight of his past 10. Robinson is a must-start in all weeks, but especially so this week at New Orleans, which sports the league's worst pass defense.

JAX WR Allen Robinson - Week 15, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Atlanta
For some reason, Robinson saw just four targets last week and caught just one pass for four yards. It did go for a touchdown to salvage the week. Robinson is tied for the league league with 12 touchdown catches, twice the amount that Atlanta has given up all season. This game has the look of a shootout, Robinson should bounce back. He's a solid start this week.
