Good news for Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence avoids season-ending injury so even if he misses time he’ll be back.

Fantasy Impact:

Wolfe said Lawrence tried his best to walk off after ankle injury and avoid the cart, then later in locker room he tried to stand on his injured ankle before leaving in a walking boot and crutches, Wolfe's post went on to say. There is still no timetable for a Lawrence return, but owners should at least prepare to be without him in the short term. A return this season may not necessarily help fantasy owners if Lawrence is out for multiple weeks, which at this point seems to be possible. In the meantime, Beathard will get the start.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence exits MNF with ankle sprain

After exiting Monday night’s game in the fourth quarter and not returning, Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence could miss more than that.

Per multiple reports, Lawrence has a sprained ankle. Which means that initial testing showed no broken bones. He’ll have more testing on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact:

More tests will take place today on Lawrence. Obviously, the type of sprain will be critical to how much time he misses, if any. The extent of any ligament damage will also be key. The story said earlier this year, he suffered a knee injury but missed no games. If he has to miss time, Beathard would get the call.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence still questionable ahead of TNF

Jaguars will work out quarterback Trevor Lawrence before tonight’s game to determine whether or not he can play versus the Saints with his knee sprain, per source. “It could easily be a game-time decision,” the source added. If Lawrence cannot play, C.J. Beathard would start.

Fantasy Impact:

Beathard is a capable backup, with 12 starts under his belt dating back to the 2017-2020 seasons with the 49ers. While you shouldn't feel compelled to put him in any fantasy lineups, he would hopefully not sink the pass-catchers too far if he is called upon for Week 7. Calvin Ridley and Christian Kirk can still be considered low-end WR2s, while Evan Engram is a low-end TE1.

Of course the timing for Lawrence is against him because of a Thursday night game against the Saints. He was listed as limited on Tuesday and was spotted wearing a knee brace, according to other reports, so it's at least a good sign for a Tuesday report.
