PHI K Cody Parkey - Week 5, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 - Parkey vs. St. Louis
Cody Parkey didn't have many opportunities last week as the Birds struggled to move the ball and lost some offensive possessions with the special team and defensive touchdowns. This week should be a different story in a home matchup against the Rams. Parkey comes in third on our kicker list with the Rams ranked 20th in allowing points to the position. Parkey is shaping up to be a good play probably every week.

PHI K Cody Parkey - Week 4, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 - Parkey vs. San Francisco
Cody Parkey has been a pleasant surprise this year for the Eagles and is 8-for-9 on the season. He missed a chip shot Week 2, but has hit a few from beyond 50 yards with really no issues. Parkey's ranking takes a hit this week and he's more of a K2 option at 14th on our list. But given the way the Eagles move the ball he should get into position to put up points for owners. If you're just riding with Parkey as your only kicker, it shouldn't be too much of a concern using him week-to-week no matter what the matchup is.

Week 3 - Parkey vs. Washington
Parkey missed a chip shot last week but hit two other including the game-winner with time running out. Parkey again gets a K1 ranking this week in an average matchup against the Redskins. The Birds continue to move the ball and struggle in the red zone making a Parkey a great play.

Week 2 vs. Colts
Cody Parkey kicked two field goals and had four extra points in Week 1, his debut in the NFL. One of the FGs was a 50-plus yarder - and he drilled it. The Eagles showed some confidence in him with that long attempt, something they didn't always do with Alex Henery. After just one week, it looks like he has potential to rack up some points on the Eagles. He comes in 10th this week in what isn't a great matchup, but the Birds O should get him into position in what should be a high-scoring contest.

Week 1 vs Jaguars
Cody Parkey won the kicking job from Alex Henery in the final week of preseason. We don't have much to go on with Parkey other than he appears to have a stronger leg hitting for two, 50-plus yard kicks in preseason Week 4. Parkey falls right into our top stop for kickers this week against the Jags. If you own Matt Prater or question your other kicker's matchup, Parkey is at least a good play this week.
