Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy wants to see Dak Prescott go through a full week of practice before the franchise quarterback plays in a game. Prescott will get that opportunity starting Wednesday as he’s expected to be a full participant in practice after being medically cleared.

The story said the Cowboys will rely on their defense and running game, and don't expect Dak to have to throw 40 times to win a game. While it's not what fantasy owners want to here, we rank Dak QB10 heading into Week 7 and he gets a great matchup against the Lions.

Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones is hopeful Dak Prescott will be able to return to the starting lineup Sunday against the Detroit Lions after missing five games with a fractured right thumb.

"Well, let's just say this: He's determined to [play]," Jones said on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas. "I think he's, from my perspective, from what I can know and see, I think he's going to get there. We feel like that physically, he's at a position that the risk/reward justifies him being out there in terms of any reoccurrence of the injury."

According to the story, Jones said Prescott had a "very impressive" throwing session before Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles. It appears Dak Prescott participated in his first Cowboys practice since fracturing his right thumb in Week 1. He is listed as limited, as are Micah Parsons and Demarcus Lawrence. Both defensive players say they will play. Cooper Rush still preparing to start vs. the Eagles.

Fantasy Impact:

It looks like the team is going to rest Prescott for at least one more week, and it may be prudent, considering the brutal matchup they have on Sunday night. With Dalton Schultz nursing a knee injury, CeeDee Lamb and Ezekiel Elliot may be Dallas's only worthwhile fantasy pieces this week.
