DEN WR Courtland Sutton - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Kansas City Chiefs
Even though Drew Lock tossed for over 300 yards and three scores in the win over Houston last week, Courtland Sutton finished with just 34 yards on five grabs. Sutton has been held to less than 35 yards in two of the last three contests but is still a huge part of the Broncos passing game, averaging over 73 yards per outing. Versus Kansas City in October, he led the team with 87 yards on six catches and remains a WR2 option.

DEN WR Courtland Sutton - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Houston Texans
In Drew Lock’s first game last Sunday Courtland Sutton helped his new QB out with a diving 33-yard TD in the first quarter. The WR caught another score from the rookie in the opening stanza and drew a pass interference penalty late to set up the game-winning field goal. Sutton will likely continue to be Lock’s favorite target, but the Broncos have a tough road game at Houston, making him a WR2 start.

DEN WR Courtland Sutton - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Los Angeles Chargers
With Brandon Allen throwing for only 82 yards on 10 completions against the Bills last week, Courtland Sutton had his least productive game of the season, registering just a 27-yard reception on eight targets. In the first 10 outings of ’19, he posted at least four grabs nine times. With Joe Flacco at QB in early October against the Chargers Sutton collected 92 yards and a TD so consider him a WR2 play on Sunday, now with Drew Lock possibly at the helm.

DEN WR Courtland Sutton - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Buffalo Bills
As the Broncos top WR, Courtland Sutton has become a focal part of the offense. Last week against the Vikings he caught five passes for 113 yards, ran for 10 yards on two carries and even threw a 38-yard pass to fellow WR Tim Patrick. With Brandon Allen under center, the Broncos have been a bit more creative and getting the ball in Sutton’s hands has been key. Despite posting his first 100-yard outing since Week 1, he’ll be going against a solid Bills pass defense on Sunday, so a drop off in productivity would not be a surprise.

DEN WR Courtland Sutton - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Minnesota Vikings
With Brandon Allen at QB two weeks ago versus Cleveland, Courtland Sutton caught five passes for 56 yards and scored his fourth TD of ’19. Even with the change under center, Sutton still received eight targets, but his yardage total will likely see a dip for the remainder of the season. He hasn’t registered a 100-yard game since the opener and likely won’t get there on Sunday on the road at Minnesota.

DEN WR Courtland Sutton - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Cleveland Browns
With Emmanuel Sanders no longer on the Broncos roster, Courtland Sutton made the most of his first game as the team’s top WR. On six targets he caught three passes for a team-high 72 yards, also drawing a couple of penalties on the Colts defense. This season Sutton has registered at least 70 yards in six of the eight outings, including four straight. However, with Brandon Allen making his first NFL start at QB this week for Denver, he’ll be throwing against a solid pass defense. Sutton is more of a WR3 play given the matchup and the new signal-caller.

DEN WR Courtland Sutton - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Indianapolis Colts
While none of the Broncos had a good stat line in the loss to Kansas City last Thursday, Courtland Sutton led the passing attack with eight targets, six receptions and 87 yards. For the season Sutton has been the team’s best WR, averaging five grabs for over 80 yards. Now that Emmanuel Sanders is with San Francisco, expect Sutton to be relied on by Joe Flacco even more, making him a WR2 start.
