PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at New England Patriots
Although Dallas Goedert was a top-10 fantasy tight end, his numbers were underachieving compared to expectations. Managers who drafted him hope his numbers this season push him to the top.

Goedert will face the Patriots who were not good against tight ends in 2022. So, it could be a good start to the season for the veteran tight end.

Start Goedert as a top-5 fantasy tight end for Week 1. The matchup is favorable and Goedert is capable of big games in this Eagles offense.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - 2023 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
Dallas Goedert has been very reliable in the Eagles offense. He has averaged 13.8 yards per catch over the past two seasons and has a minimum of 55 receptions in three of the past four. And last year, he missed five games which gives more credence to the numbers he did have in 2022.

Fantasy Downside
Injuries have been Goedert's biggest issue that has limited him from reaching his maximum production. The Eagles love their tight ends, but they need to be on the field.

2023 Bottom Line
Goedert is the sixth-ranked tight end going into 2023 and we think he will have his best numbers yet. The health issue could be a problem, but we are willing to take the risk to select him in the fifth round. The reward is worth the risk.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. New Orleans Saints
Dallas Goedert returned to the Eagles lineup and had three catches for an impressive 67 yards. It's a good sign for the playoff season for managers who held onto Goedert, who looks healthy and should be an asset this week against New Orleans

The Saints are ranked third in aFPA to tight ends, but don't let that discourage you. Goedert will be a big part of the Eagles offense the rest of the season and that includes Week 17. Start him as a solid TE1.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Goedert is back in the lineup for the first time since November 14th. He has been a strong fantasy tight end until the injury and should be close to 100% this Saturday. He has 43 receptions for 544 yards and 3 touchdowns so far in 2022.

Goedert faces the Cowboys who are ranked 10th in aFPA to tight ends. He had two catches for 22 yards in the first meeting with Dallas this season.

Check the inactives just to make sure Goedert is suited up and if he is, start him as a solid TE1 for Week 16. He will be a welcome return for managers who stashed him on the bench while he was hurt.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Washington Commanders
Dallas Goedert had his best game of the season with eight receptions and 100 receiving yards on nine targets - all season-highs. It's been a pretty good run for the tight end as the Eagles offense has been playing well and Goedert has been a favorite of QB Jalen Hurts.

The Commanders are up next and are ranked 3rd in aFPA to tight ends. Goedert only had three receptions for 26 yards the first time he played against Washington earlier this season, but that game did produce one of his two touchdowns.

Start Goedert as a top-5 fantasy tight end for Week 10. We like where he has been in recent weeks and expect another good week despite the tough matchup.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Houston Texans
Dallas Goedert caught all six of his targets on Sunday for 64 yards. It was a nice bounce-back after two catches the previous game. Goedert could have had a bigger day as he was open all afternoon, but QB Jalen Hurts focused on some other targets.

Goedert faces the Texans who are ranked 18th in aFPA to tight ends. Houston has been decent against wide receivers, but tight ends have had some success against them in 2022.

Start Goedert as a top-five fantasy tight end for Week 8. Houston will probably pay special attention to A.J. Brown after his performance last Sunday and that will open up more space and opportunities for the Eagles tight end.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
After a couple productive games, Dallas Goedert was quiet last week with two receptions for 22 yards. That's not really a reflection of Goedert as the Eagles only had 155 passing yards against a good Dallas defense.

Goedert will face the Steelers who are ranked 12th in aFPA to tight ends. We think the Eagles will have a very productive afternoon on Sunday so start Goedert as a top-five fantasy tight end for Week 8.
