2022 Fantasy Upside
Dallas Goedert showed signs of being a top tight end when he was playing second fiddle to Zach Ertz. Last season, he embraced the No. 1 role and flourished. He caught 56 passes for a career-high 830 yards. He also added 4 touchdowns. With Ertz gone, Goedert was able to take the role of running deeper routes which is a reason he averaged 14.8 yards per catch. That was 3.4 yards higher than his previous best.
2022 Fantasy Downside
With A.J. Brown coming in, the targets will take a step back. Goedert also still has to deal with being on an offense that was dead last in pass attempts and Jalen Hurts at quarterback is still trying to get to a level where is an average passer.
2022 Bottom Line
Goedert will still be in the mix for the Eagles with 50+ catches and 750+ yards. However, the Eagles could start getting their wide receivers the ball more which is why Goedert is a low-end TE1 entering 2022. His ADP has him going as high as the seventh round, but that might be too high. There could be better options so see what's on the board. Get him a round or two later for best value.
