PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Goedert had his best game of the season for Philly with season-highs in targets (9), receptions (8) and yardage (95). He didn't get in the end zone but it was good to see the Eagles tight end more involved.

Dallas plays Dallas this week. The Cowboys are ranked 13th in aFPA to tight ends. Last season, Goedert only faced Dallas once last season and had four receptions for 66 yards.

Start Goedert as a top 5 fantasy tight ends for Week 6. It probably the best matchup for the Eagles against a good Cowboys defense so expect him to be a big part of the game plan.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Arizona Cardinals
Dallas Goedert had a rough game a couple weeks ago but bounced back nicely last Sunday against Jacksonville with six receptions for 72 yards. Goedert remains a major cog in the Eagles passing game and even though the Birds didn't have the best game, he still put up some good fantasy numbers.

Goedert faces the Cardinals who are ranked 30th in aFPA to tight ends. This is a great matchup for the Eagles and expect Goedert to have one of his best games of the season. Start him in all leagues and formats as a top-five fantasy tight end for Week 5.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Although Dallas Goedert score his first touchdown of the season, the Eagles tight end lacked in other areas. He only had three receptions for 26 yards which is very low for him and a Philly tight end. The biggest concern for Philadelphia, who used to rely more on their tight ends and running backs in the passing game, are now focused on their wide receivers. We will have to wait and see.

For this week, Goedert faces the Jaguars who are ranked 4th in aFPA to tight ends. If Goedert isn't get at least six targets a game, his value is diminished.

We expect him to still be a part of the game plan against Jacksonville so star him as a solid TE1 for Week 4 despite the tough matchup.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Washington Commanders
Dallas Goedert was solid against the Vikings with six receptions for 82 yards. He was a solid target for QB Jalen Hurts last season and fills that role again in 2022. He hasn't gotten in the end zone yet, but that's coming.

Goedert faces the Commanders this week who are ranked 14th in aFPA to tight ends. He was lights out last season in both games against Washington combining for 15 tackles for 206 yards.

Start Goedert as a solid TE1 for Week 3. Should be another good outing against a below-average Washington defense.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Minnesota Vikings
Dallas Goedert was only targeted 4 times last week but it produced three receptions for 60 yards. We could see his targets be lower this year with the arrival of A.J. Brown, but that still remains to be seen.

Goedert faces the Vikings who were decent against tight ends last season and are ranked 11th in aFPA to the position after one week.

Start Goedert in all leagues and formats as a solid TE1 for Week 2. He should be a regular on this list as he is established now and even if Philly moves away from tight ends a little bit, he will still get his share of targets.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at Detroit Lions
The Eagles love their tight ends and Dallas Goedert is set to have another good season. The passing attack and personnel should improve, which means Goedert will have some favorable matchups.

This week, he will face the Lions who were ranked 24th in aFPA to tight ends in 2021. We expect a good day from Goedert with the favorable matchup. Start him as a solid TE1 for Week 1 and expect four catches for 50+ yards in the opener.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - 2022 Fantasy Football Outlook

2022 Fantasy Upside
Dallas Goedert showed signs of being a top tight end when he was playing second fiddle to Zach Ertz. Last season, he embraced the No. 1 role and flourished. He caught 56 passes for a career-high 830 yards. He also added 4 touchdowns. With Ertz gone, Goedert was able to take the role of running deeper routes which is a reason he averaged 14.8 yards per catch. That was 3.4 yards higher than his previous best.

2022 Fantasy Downside
With A.J. Brown coming in, the targets will take a step back. Goedert also still has to deal with being on an offense that was dead last in pass attempts and Jalen Hurts at quarterback is still trying to get to a level where is an average passer.

2022 Bottom Line
Goedert will still be in the mix for the Eagles with 50+ catches and 750+ yards. However, the Eagles could start getting their wide receivers the ball more which is why Goedert is a low-end TE1 entering 2022. His ADP has him going as high as the seventh round, but that might be too high. There could be better options so see what's on the board. Get him a round or two later for best value.
