Fantasy Impact:

Patterson's 21 day window is now open but it remains to be seen when Patterson will get back to the field. When he does, it likely means he'll cut into the workload of Allgeier and Huntley. Allgeier has had double-digit carries every week since Oct. 2. Meanwhile Huntley's had two 16-carry games over the last three weeks. With the Falcons in first place in their division, expect Patterson to continue to have a role.

Falcons place Damien Williams on injured reserve

The Falcons placed RB Damien Williams on injured reserve Saturday with a rib injury.

Fantasy Impact:

Williams suffered the injury early in Week 1 against the Saints. Williams was expected to be an early veteran presence in the Atlanta backfield and share time with Cordarrelle Patterson. He is now out for at least four games. The Falcons elevated Caleb Huntley from the practice squad, so for now, it’s Huntley, Tyler Allgeier and Avery Williams behind Patterson. This could mean plenty of work coming for Patterson, if Week 1 is any indication. He’s a top 20 running back this week.

The Falcons have released RB Mike Davis.

Fantasy Impact:

Davis could not replicate his 2020 season as Christian McCaffrey's injury replacement and will now be looking to compete for a roster spot elsewhere. Patterson and Williams stand to see the most work as of now with recently-drafted Allgeier new to the team.
