Scouting report

BUF RB Devin Singletary - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Chicago Bears
Devin Singletary was back to double-digits last Saturday and ended up with 16 touches total for 70 yards. He went without a touchdown for the second straight game. His snap count went back up to 60% after being below 50% the past two games.

Singletary faces the Bears who are ranked 17th in aFPA to running backs. The Bills want to keep running the ball consistently to protect QB Josh Allen.

Start Singletary as an RB3 or Flex for Week 16. Rookie James Cook has been more involved the second half of the season which has taken some numbers away from Singletary. But he still will be involved enough to help your team.

BUF RB Devin Singletary - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Miami Dolphins
Devin Singletary's carries fell below 10 for the first time since Week 9 - coincidently the last time he played the Jets. He ended up with nine touches for 41 yards. Not surprising, considering New York has a very good run defense.

Singletary faces the Dolphins who are ranked 21st in aFPA to running backs. Miami has been more vulnerable in the passing game, but we at least think Singletary will back over 10 touches.

The Bills have also been leaning on James Cook more so keep Singletary on the bench for Week 15. He is on the fringe for an RB3 or Flex but there could be better options for you on your roster or even waivers.

BUF RB Devin Singletary - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. New York Jets
Devin Singletary had appeared to be the featured back several weeks ago, but that role has changed as James Cook has been move involved in the offense in recent weeks. It's probably safe to say stock down for Singletary as we are seeing a familiar sight in Buffalo - running back by committee.

Singletary faces the Jets for the second time this season, who are ranked 16th in aFPA to running backs. Singletary was limited to 48 total yards in the first meeting with New York with 24 coming through the air.

Singletary drops to a RB3 or Flex for Week 14. With Cook more involved, Singletary less likely to get 20+ touches so his value has dropped.

BUF RB Devin Singletary - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at New England Patriots
Although Devin Singletary was still a nice fantasy play last week with 72 rushing yards, his touches were down from the previous game. However, his offensive snap count was up to 78%. He still is the primary back, but we will keep an eye on his touches to see if he is closer to the 20 mark than 15.

Singletary faces the Patriots who are ranked No. 1 in aFPA to running backs. In the three games against New England last season, he actually had a very good playoff game with 81 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He was held in check in the two regular season meetings.

Be cautious with Singletary this week. This is not an good matchup and that has pushed his ranking down to an RB3 or Flex for Week 13.

BUF RB Devin Singletary - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Detroit Lions
Devin Singletary had his best game of the season with season-highs in rushes (18) and rushing yards (86). He also scored his third touchdown of the season, all of them now coming in the last two games. Bills seem to be focused on the running game more as he has had double-digit rushing attempts in four out of the last five games. In his first five games, he had one.

Singletary faces the Lions who are ranked 12th in aFPA to running backs. Detroit is very bad against the pass so expect the Bills to go to the air a little more this week.

Start Singletary as a high-end RB3 or Flex for Week 12. Buffalo should be able to put up some points but he might not get the carries this game that he has been getting.

BUF RB Devin Singletary - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Cleveland Browns
Devin Singletary's workload continues to be the same the last three weeks and his production has been consistent. However, this past Sunday, he rushed for two touchdowns to make it a very good fantasy day for his managers. They were his first rushing touchdowns of the season.

Next up, Singletary will face Cleveland who is ranked 31st in aFPA to running backs. We expect him to play around 70% to 75% of the snaps again with 12 to 15 touches, but with this very favorable matchup, the production should be better.

Start Singletary as a solid RB2 for Week 11 and hope the touchdowns will come on a more regular basis.

BUF RB Devin Singletary - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Minnesota Vikings
Devin Singletary still played 75% of the snaps last Sunday but his touches went down to 12 for 48 total yards. It wasn't a good day for the Bills offense on the road and even with newly acquired Nyheim Hines on the field, Singletary didn't lose any playing time to the other backs - yet.

Singletary faces the Vikings who are ranked 8th in aFPA to running backs. With QB Josh Allen's status for Sunday up in the air, be cautious with all the Bills skill players.

Start Singletary as high-end RB3 or Flex for Week 10. The Hines factor hasn't kicked in yet and the matchup favors the defense this week.
