Scouting report

IND WR Donte Moncrief - Week 8, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Carolina
Donte Moncrief continued his successful season last week, finishing with four receptions for 34 yards and a touchdown. He now has five scores in the first seven games this season, making him a legit scoring threat every week. Moncrief gets a tough matchup this week against the Panthers, although he could put up some production while T.Y. Hilton is covered. All things considered, Moncrief should be viewed as a low-end WR2.

IND WR Donte Moncrief - Week 7, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. New Orleans

Donte Moncrief continued his strong season with a big game in Week 6. He hauled in six passes for a nice 69 yards and a touchdown, his fourth of the season. Moncrief has established himself as the No. 2 receiver in Indianapolis' offense.

Moncrief should have another good game in Week 7 against the Saints. New Orleans has been allowing a lot of passing yards to opposing offenses and Moncrief should take advantage. Owners should view Moncrief as a strong WR2.

IND WR Donte Moncrief - Week 6, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. New England

Donte Moncrief was near non-existent a week ago against the Texans. He finished with just one reception for three yards with Matt Hasselbeck at quarterback, as veteran Andre Johnson had the most success last week.

Moncrief is still a strong option moving forward, seeing as he leads the Colts in touchdown receptions (3). His letdown game last week has us a little cautious, so there's definitely some risk involved in starting him. Still, in a decent matchup, Moncrief should be viewed as a strong WR3.

IND WR Donte Moncrief - Week 5, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Houston

Moncrief is the Colts leading receiver in terms of receptions (23) and touchdowns (3). He’s not far off from T.Y. Hilton in yards, either, trailing by just 19. Moncrief will try to continue his success this week, but may not be able to in a tough road matchup against Houston. He’ll also be playing with an injured Andrew Luck, who is battling a shoulder injury. Owners should view the Colts wideout as a low-end WR2 this week, or as a strong WR3.

IND WR Donte Moncrief - Week 4, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Jacksonville
Donte Moncrief has solidified himself as the No. 2 wideout in the Colts offense. Heading into the season, we thought Andre Johnson would have that role, but he's been a huge disappoint thus far. Instead, Moncrief has taken over and made a huge impact. He's second on the team in targets, but only trails the leader — T.Y. Hilton — by two. Moncrief actually has more receptions (17) and touchdowns (3) than Hilton, and only has 27 fewer yards. In a good matchup against a hobbled Jaguars secondary, Moncrief should be able to find success this week. He should be viewed as a WR2.

IND WR Donte Moncrief - Week 3, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Tennessee

Donte Moncrief currently leads the Colts in receptions (13), yards (168) and receiving touchdowns (2). T.Y. Hilton still leads in targets, which proves he's the No. 1 option in this Colts offense, but Moncrief's emergence has been a nice surprise this season.

The second-year wideout will go against an average Titans defense in Week 3, and should be viewed as a low WR2 or high WR3. He's become more valuable than free agent acquisition Andre Johnson.

IND WR Donte Moncrief - Week 2, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. New York Jets

Donte Moncrief had a big role for the Colts in Week 1. He played on 74 percent of their offensive snaps and saw 11 targets, which was second on the team. He finished with six receptions for 46 yards and a touchdown.

His stats for Week 2 will be interesting to see. He'll have a larger role if T.Y. Hilton sits out as expected, but he's also going against a tough Jets defense. One thing is for sure — Moncrief will see a lot of targets — so there's definitely room for potential. Moncrief should be viewed as a low WR2 or strong WR3 this week.
