Scouting report

by Steve Andress

IND TE Jack Doyle - Week 16, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Oakland
This is a touchdown or else situation for Jack Doyle in Week 16, splitting the Colts TE targets with Dwayne Allen. Doyle hasn't scored in seven straight weeks. It's not worth the risk in the fantasy playoffs.

IND TE Jack Doyle - Week 15, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Minnesota
In Weeks 3-7 when Donte Moncrief was also out, Doyle averaged 4.8 targets per game, but that is also skewed by fellow tight end Dwayne Allen also being out for Week 7 (when Doyle had 10 targets). This is a touchdown or else situation for Doyle in Week 15. It's not worth the risk in the fantasy playoffs.

IND TE Jack Doyle - Week 14, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Houston
Nine of Andrew Luck's 23 touchdowns have gone to TEs (39%), including what should have been a 10th last week, but Jack Doyle fumbled just short of the pylon. Still Doyle is too risky for the fantasy postseason outside very deep standard leagues and DFS, as week-to-week, it's been hard to figure out which TE Luck will target in the red zone - Luck or Doyle.

IND TE Jack Doyle - Week 13, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at New York Jets
The Colts use of two tight ends renders both Jack Doyle and Dwayne Allen unreliable for fantasy purposes. Doyle should not be in your starting lineup for Week 13.

IND TE Jack Doyle - Week 12, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Pittsburgh
Having a back-up quarterback for Week 12 could increase targets for TEs, but who will get them? Jack Doyle splitting work with Dwayne Allen renders both non-factors in fantasy for Week 12.

IND TE Jack Doyle - Week 11, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Tennessee
The return of Dwayne Allen didn't hurt Doyle much at Green Bay before the Colts bye, with Doyle playing 75% of snaps and receiving nine targets. You will still likely need a touchdown though to make him worth a start in standard leagues, but consider him a high-end TE2 with low-end TE1 upside in what should be a high-scoring game against the Titans.

IND TE Jack Doyle - Week 9, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Jack Doyle came back down to Earth last week, and now Dwayne Allen may return Week 9 at Green Bay. If that happens, Doyle's prospects become touchdown dependent against the Packers. We still see him though just outside the top-12 TEs in Week 9 if you are desperate for a TE with so many on byes.
