JAX RB James Robinson - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Houston Texans
Although the Jaguars lost again two weeks ago in Los Angeles, James Robinson was impressive, finishing with 119 rushing yards, 18 receiving yards and two TDs. In his first seven pro games, he’s been over the century mark twice and found the end zone six times. In October Robinson was held to 48 yards on 13 carries by the Texans but should be reinserted into your starting lineup for the rematch at home,, as Jacksonville will want to rely on the ground game with a rookie making his first start at QB.

JAX RB James Robinson - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Los Angeles Chargers
Once again, the Jaguars found themselves behind last week versus the Lions, which meant James Robinson received only 12 carries for 29 yards. Fantasy owners weren’t totally disappointed though as the rookie snagged four passes for 24 yards and found paydirt for the fourth time. Robinson will remain the team’s featured ball carrier but has a tough matchup versus the Chargers No. 9 run defense. He makes for a low-end RB1 start.

JAX RB James Robinson - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Detroit Lions
Playing against what was the worst run defense in the league last week, James Robinson was limited to 48 yards on 13 attempts, as the Jaguars were once again playing from behind. The rookie continues to contribute to the passing game, registering 15 catches over the past three games. The Lions now possess the worst run defense, so look for a better performance out of Robinson.

JAX RB James Robinson - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Houston Texans
After falling behind the Bengals in the second half last week, James Robinson and the Jaguars ground attack was mostly halted. In the loss the rookie rushed for 75 yards on 17 carries and continues to see the bulk of the team’s carries. Through the first quarter of the season Robinson is averaging over 111 total yards per game and has an outstanding matchup on Sunday against the worst run defense in the league. He should absolutely be included in your starting lineup.

JAX RB James Robinson - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Cincinnati Bengals
Facing a poor Dolphins run defense last Thursday, James Robinson actually made his biggest impact in the passing game. While he scored both of Jacksonville’s TDs on short runs, the rookie rushed for 46 yards while leading the team with six catches for 83 yards. Without the deep threat of WR D.J. Chark, Gardner Minshew was often forced to check down to his backs in the loss. Robinson has a clear hold on the Jags No. 1 RB spot and makes for a good fantasy start nearly every week and especially against a poor Bengals run defense.

JAX RB James Robinson - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Miami Dolphins
The Jaguars continue to be thin at RB, which again meant James Robinson was the featured back. In the loss to the Titans last week he carried the ball 16 times for 102 yards and a TD and even caught three passes. The rookie received all but two of the team’s RB rush attempts. On Thursday night at home Robinson has a great matchup against the fourth-worst run defense through the first couple weeks of the season.

JAX RB James Robinson - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Tennessee Titans
Due to limited options, it was James Robinson who received the start and the bulk of the Jaguars carries in the opener against Indy. He finished with 16 carries for 62 yards and caught a 28-yard pass. Ryquell Armstead will remain out, leaving Robinson to again shoulder the load in the Jacksonville backfield. Tennessee allowed the Broncos to rush for over 100 yards on Monday, so consider Robinson a RB2 start.
