Jerick McKinnon - Week 2 vs. New England
Jerick McKinnon becomes an intriguing option on Sunday with the news of Adrian Peterson being deactivated. McKinnon is a 5’9 rookie running back out of Georgia Southern and was the No. 96-overall selection of the 2014 draft. He played both quarterback and running back at GSU.
McKinnon is a big play running back. He ran a 4.41-second 40-yard dash at this year's NFL Combine. His explosiveness makes him an interesting option, but owners should realize this rookie is still very inexperienced and raw.
McKinnon is trying to adapt to the NFL coming out of an FCS program. He's also behind Asiata right now on the depth chart. He's someone to keep an eye on, but for now we wouldn't play him this week.
