Jordan Howard cleared and “good to go” for Week 17

Eagles RB Jordan Howard (shoulder) has been cleared to return and will play in Week 17 against the Giants.

Fantasy Impact:

Head coach Doug Pederson said Howard will be a goal line and situational back in the gameplan. With how effective Miles Sanders has been, it’s certainly possible to think Howard will be on a snap count Sunday to get him back into game mode and keep him healthy for the playoffs, should they Eagles get there. Sanders is still a strong option, Howard is a bit of a gamble but not a terrible flex option. But you should still proceed with caution.

Eagles are releasing RB Jay Ajayi today, per source. They are getting RB Jordan Howard back this week.

Fantasy Impact:

Ajayi didn't get a lot of work with the emergence of Sanders and Scott over the last few weeks. Howard was suffering from a stinger injury and it seems unlikely he takes away a lot of Sanders' workload at this point. Scott should be safe as the third down, pass catching back. It seems likely Howard gets short yardage work and could steal a goal line TD.
