Ravens two-minute offense struggles in practice against Rams

One of the final portions of the Ravens’ joint practice with the Los Angeles Rams on Monday pitted their offense against the Rams defense in a two-minute situation. In three possessions, the offense emerged with zero points. The opening series, with quarterback Joe Flacco under center, was the most promising, as the unit drove to Los Angeles’ 40-yard line. But on third down, Flacco overthrew a deep pass along the right sideline to wide receiver Chris Moore, and kicker Justin Tucker’s field-goal attempt from 58 yards missed wide left. The Ravens’ ensuing drives, led by rookie Lamar Jackson and Robert Griffin III, did not get close to crossing midfield.

Fantasy Impact:

According to the writer, the Rams defense tipped, batted, and slapped away numerous passes from the Raven QBs and also got a lot of pressure for would-be sacks.

Divisional Round – Justin Tucker vs. New England

Justin Tucker did his job last week, hitting on all three of his field goal attempts as the Ravens knocked out the division rival Steelers, earning the right to travel to New England this week to take on the Patriots.

The Pats were eighth in the league this year however in points allowed to opposing teams, and they’ll be playing outside in New England, making weather a factor. Fantasy owners should probably look elsewhere, as we have Tucker near the bottom of our rankings as a result of the location, the matchup, and the general inconsistencies of the Baltimore offense this season.
