ARI WR Larry Fitzgerald - Week 17, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Seattle

Larry Fitzgerald only had 29 yards on his four receptions last week in a blowout win over the Packers, but he did manage to catch a touchdown pass that helped salvage his fantasy day. Fitzgerald will likely finish in the top tend in receiving yards this season and is currently fifth in the league in receptions, even though he’s cooled off over the last quarter of the year.

This week, Fitzgerald faces a tough Seattle pass defense that has only allowed 13 passing touchdowns this season. Fitzgerald and the Cardinal passing game has been stellar all year, but there’s an element of risk for the veteran since Michael Floyd and John Brown get plenty of looks in the Arizona offense as well. With a tough matchup and Floyd looking to be the most productive of the three lately, Fitzgerald is a borderline WR2 option this week in most leagues.

ARI WR Larry Fitzgerald - Week 16, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Green Bay

Larry Fitzgerald has had a couple of down weeks, with only 11 targets in the past two games after averaging over 11 targets over the previous four outings. He also hasn’t scored since November 1st against the Browns, and the Cardinals have been taking advantage of the double teams sent his way, going to John Brown and Michael Floyd with more regularity.

Fitzgerald is still a solid WR2 in most leagues since he remains the starter in a prolific Cardinals passing attack, but may struggle against a top ten passing defense. The Packers have only allowed 18 touchdown passes this season, tied for fifth in the league. Fitzgerald is a high floor start this week, but has limited upside.

ARI WR Larry Fitzgerald - Week 15, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Philadelphia

Larry Fitzgerald didn’t put up big numbers last week, catching only five passes for 41 yards in a victory over the Vikings. Still, he remains the WR1 in Arizona and should rebound from the subpar performance.

Fantasy owners have been thrilled with Fitzgerald’s success thus far in the season, and it should continue against a woeful Philadelphia pass defense. The Eagles have given up the second most passing touchdowns in the league, and they rank in the bottom third in the NFL in passing yards allowed. Expect Fitzgerald to be targeted often and to put up WR1 numbers.

ARI WR Larry Fitzgerald - Week 14, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Minnesota

Larry Fitzgerald had just 55 yards last week against the Rams, as the St. Louis secondary keyed in on the veteran, but he still ended up with eight receptions and was targeted 11 times as he remains a key part of the Cardinals potent offense.

This week, Fitzgerald should rebound against a Minnesota Vikings defense that has two key defensive backs hobbled right now and got torched by the Seahawks passing game last week. While the Vikings likely aren’t as bad as they showed last week, they will struggle to keep the Cardinals passing game under control, and Fitzgerald should be good for WR1 numbers as a result.

ARI WR Larry Fitzgerald - Week 13, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at St. Louis

Larry Fitzgerald had only 66 yards last week in a victory over the 49ers, but he did catch 10 passes and was targeted twice as much as anyone else on the team. Fitzgerald is now third in the NFL with 83 receptions and he should continue to be the primary target in the Arizona passing game.

Fitzgerald may struggle a little against a tough Rams pass defense that ranks in the top ten in both yards and touchdowns allowed to opposing passers. Still, Fitzgerald has been so solid all year, with such a low floor each week, that it’s hard to sit the veteran receiver. Fantasy owners should consider him a strong WR2 this week due to the matchup, rather than his usual must start WR1 status on the season.

ARI WR Larry Fitzgerald - Week 12, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at San Francisco

Larry Fitzgerald was targeted a team-high 13 times last week against a tough Bengals defense and he caught eight of them for 90 yards on the day. While these are pedestrian numbers for Fitzgerald, he still showed that he can produce in a tough matchup, and he now ranks fourth in the NFL with 926 receiving yards.

This week should be a little easier on the veteran. Fitzgerald faces a San Francisco pass defense that ranks 27th in the league in total passing yards allowed this season, and only San Diego and New Orleans have allowed more yards per pass attempt to opposing offenses. Fitzgerald should be in for a big day and as a borderline top-5 option, he should be active in all leagues.

ARI WR Larry Fitzgerald - Week 11, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Cincinnati

Larry Fitzgerald had a nice game against the Seahawks last week. He was targeted a team high 15 times, catching 10 passes and finishing the game with a 130 yards in a Cardinals victory. We keep expecting the 32 year old to slow down, but he’s still on pace this season to set career highs in yards and receptions.

This week, Fitzgerald faces a tough Bengals defense that is tied for fifth in touchdown passes allowed to opposing offense this year. However, Fitzgerald and the Cardinals passing game have been matchup proof this year and DeAndre Hopkins managed to take advantage of the Bengal defense last week. Fitzgerald should continue to be a top ten fantasy WR and is a must start every week.
