ARI WR Michael Floyd - Week 11, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 – Michael Floyd vs. Detroit

Michael Floyd has struggled a lot lately, and last week he only gained 11 yards on one reception, and was targeted four times. Meanwhile, rookie John Brown had nine targets and caught a touchdown pass. Floyd needs to get it going or his role is going to continue to fade in the Arizona offense.

This week isn’t likely the week he gets back on track however. He faces a stunningly good Lions defense that has only allowed 10 touchdowns through the air this season, and is led by a fearsome defensive line. Floyd is a very low-end W 3 option for deep leaguers only.

ARI WR Michael Floyd - Week 10, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 – Michael Floyd vs. St. Louis

Michael Floyd has really struggled recently, but he caught four of five passes thrown his way last week against Dallas, even though he ended up with only 36 yards. Floyd will try to get back on track against the Rams this week, a team that has been dominant at times and has also found themselves giving up yards in bunches during this season.

Floyd still has value, even though he’s been in a slump, as he continues to get looks in the passing game and has the talent to do well if he get more consistent. Against the Rams this week, we have him as a WR3 type of fantasy player, with upside.

ARI WR Michael Floyd - Week 9, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 – Michael Floyd vs. Dallas

Michael Floyd was targeted last week against the Eagles, but was highly disappointing for fantasy owners, as he ended up with a big zero. No catches in a game against a vulnerable defense doesn’t lead to fantasy confidence, but owners should expect him to rebound this week against Dallas.

Dallas has a middle of the road pass defense, but they’ve been stingy in the red zone, ranking in the top ten in points allowed and in passing touchdowns given up to opposing offenses. Floyd should still rebound however, and we have him as a WR2. We think it was a fluke that he didn’t catch a pass and that the Cardinals will be throwing the ball a lot this week.

ARI WR Michael Floyd - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 – Michael Floyd vs. Philadelphia

Michael Floyd had only three catches for 47 yards last week against Oakland, but he did manage to score a touchdown, and he looks like he’s generally in synch with quarterback Carson Palmer. Floyd is a nice downfield option, and he has the size and physicality to outmuscle opposing corners for the ball.

This week, Floyd has a nice matchup against the Eagles, who are giving up 257 passing yards per game this year and have allowed 13 touchdowns through the air as well. We have him as a nice WR2 option and he should be active in all leagues.

ARI WR Michael Floyd - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 – Michael Floyd vs. Oakland

Michael Floyd had a touchdown last week against Washington to go with four catches and 47 yards. He was targeted 7 times and is likely happy to see Carson Palmer back behind center. Floyd has legit WR1 ability and if the Cardinals can stay healthy, then he could be poised for a nice bounce back the rest of the season.

Against the Raiders this week, Floyd has an excellent matchup and with Palmer seemingly improving every day and ready to start again this week, he’s a nice WR2 option for fantasy owners in all leagues.

ARI WR Michael Floyd - Week 6, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 – Michael Floyd vs. Washington

Michael Floyd is coming off a bad week against the Broncos, and he has struggled with the injury issues that Arizona has experienced at the quarterback position. He finished last week’s contest with only one catch on seven targets for only seven yards.

This week, Floyd will look to rebound against one of the league’s most vulnerable pass defenses, that has allowed 11 touchdowns passing so far this year. With Carson Palmer set to return, Floyd could be in for a nice week, and we recommend fantasy owners start him as a solid WR2 in all leagues.

ARI WR Michael Floyd - Week 5, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 – Michael Floyd vs. Denver

Michael Floyd bounced back in Week 3 after a disappointing second game of the season with five catches for 114 yards in a win over the 49ers. Floyd is clearly the main guy in Arizona’s passing game, and he was targeted nine times.

Coming off a bye, Floyd will face a Denver defense that features an upgraded secondary, and it won’t be easy for Floyd to put up big numbers. Fantasy owners should downgrade Floyd accordingly and consider him more of a low-end WR2 option.
