NYG WR Rueben Randle - Week 14, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 – Rueben Randle vs. Tennessee

The emergence of rookie Odell Beckham has all but phased out Rueben Randle as a viable WR1 possibility in New York. Fantasy owners should still consider Randle as a guy with upside potential, but it’s clear that he’s not on the same page with quarterback Eli Manning and that Beckham is the primary target.

Against the Titans, Randle has some upside, as the Texans threw all over them a week ago. Still, after only getting four balls thrown his way against the Jaguars last week and gaining 52 yards on three receptions, Randle is too risky to count on in your fantasy rotation.

NYG WR Rueben Randle - Week 13, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 – Rueben Randle vs. Jacksonville

Rueben Randle had three catches and 36 yards against the Cowboys last week as the Giants lost and fellow receiver Odell Beckham blew up. Randle is a starter and gets looks, so he’ll maintain some modest value, but he’s clearly not the first option with the emergence of Beckham, and his miscommunication with QB Eli Manning makes him a risky start week-to-week.

Look for Randle to continue to get some targets, but he’s a risky start and is no better than a desperation WR3 this week against the Jags.

NYG WR Rueben Randle - Week 12, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 – Rueben Randle vs. Dallas

Rueben Randle had seven catches for 112 yards last week against the 49ers, and he was targeted a team high 15 times. While it would be nice to see his catch percentage go up, it’s interesting to see him maintain his role as a primary target in the Giants passing offense.

This week, Randle faces an average Dallas pass defense. Expect the Giants to continue to target Randle, but for his catch percentage to stay around 50 percent. He’s not a bad low-end WR3 option in most leagues, but his upside is limited because of his lack of production this season, as well as the emergence of other options in the passing game, like rookie Odell Beckham.

NYG WR Rueben Randle - Week 11, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 – Rueben Randle vs. San Francisco
Rueben Randle was targeted ten times last week against Seattle, but he only caught five of them, which is a continuing trend for Randle. He wound up with only 39 yards and has been far outshined by rookie Odell Beckham since the rookie returned from injury. Randle still has value because he gets so many targets, but it seems unlikely that in Week 11, he’s suddenly going to solve the chemistry issues with Eli that have plagued him all season. Randle should be viewed as a low end WR3 fantasy option at best, but he’s more likely a reserve right now.

NYG WR Rueben Randle - Week 10, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 – Rueben Randle vs. Seattle

Rueben Randle continues to get targets in the Giants offense, even if he’s not catching a ton of them. He caught only four of 11 passes thrown his way against the Colts last week, and wound up with only 49 yards.

Randle is hard to trust right now, but he still has fantasy value with the amount of targets he gets week-to-week. He has a tough matchup this week against the Seahawks, and likely against Richard Sherman for much of the game, making him a very risky option for fantasy owners. We have him as a low-end WR3 this week, and fantasy owners should look elsewhere if they can.

NYG WR Rueben Randle - Week 9, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 – Rueben Randle vs. Indianapolis

Rueben Randle had only 74 yards against the Cowboys before the bye last week, but he was targeted a team high nine times and he continues to be looked to often by quarterback Eli Manning.

Randle faces a surprisingly effective Colts defense this week and the Giants will look to get Randle involved early. He may be affected by the coverage he gets from cornerback Vontae Davis, but he still should get enough balls thrown his way to put up solid WR2 numbers. We have him as a top 15 play and fantasy owners should have in their lineup this week.

NYG WR Rueben Randle - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 – Rueben Randle vs. Dallas

Rueben Randle only caught five passes for 58 yards against the Eagles in what was a dismal game for the Giants offense, but he was targeted a team high nine times and looks to be more in tune with the offense than he was the first few weeks of the season.

This week, Randle will face a Dallas defense that has been surprisingly tough and ranks 12th in the league against the pass. He remains a risky option because of the Giants’ inconsistencies on offense this season, but with Victor Cruz now hurt for likely the rest of the season, Randle could find himself the main option in New York. He has WR2 upside, but is more of a WR3 play this week.
