BUF WR Stefon Diggs - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Kansas City Chiefs
After a quiet Week 4, Stefon Diggs was back to double-digit targets (11) which produced eight receptions for 102 yards and a touchdown. Not bad considering the starters were out of the game by the fourth quarter. Diggs feeds off bad defenses which is what we saw last week.

Diggs will face Kansas City who shut him down in the playoffs last season where he only had three receptions for 7 yards. The Chiefs are only ranked 24th in aFPA to wide receivers so we expect a big game for the Buffalo offense with the favorable offense.

Start Diggs as a top 5 fantasy wide receiver for Week 6 and possibly the top receiver overall. We will not see a repeat of what we saw in 2021 playoffs and expect KC to pay more attention to Gabe Davis instead of focusing the game plan on Diggs.

BUF WR Stefon Diggs - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
It was a relatively quiet game for Stefon Diggs and the Buffalo offense. He had season-lows in targets (6), receptions (4), and yards (62). It seems the Bills have been a little off the last two weeks, but we are confident they will still be one of the best offenses in the NFL.

Diggs faces the Steelers who ranked 26th in aFPA to wide receivers. Last season, Diggs only had 69 receiving yards in the meeting with Pittsburgh but T.J. Watt was in the lineup and the defense without him takes a major step back.

Start Diggs as one of the top fantasy wide receiver plays for Week 5. The matchup is good. The Bills should score a ton of points on a defense that has melted down in the second half of several games and will be starting a rookie quarterback. Big day coming up for Diggs and the Bills passing game.

BUF WR Stefon Diggs - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Baltimore Ravens
Stefon Diggs had double-digit targets last Sunday, but his results were his worst of the season. He was held to seven receptions for 74 yards and zero touchdowns by the Miami defense. Not a horrible fantasy day for a receiver, but the numbers were inferior to the first two weeks where he was over 100 yards receiving and scored four touchdowns in the previous games.

Diggs faces the Ravens who are ranked 32nd in the NFL in aFPA to wide receivers. The Baltimore secondary has been hit hard by injuries and has not played well early in the season.

Start Diggs as one of the top fantasy wide receivers for Week 4. The favorable matchup and the fact the Bills are putting up huge numbers against respectable defenses should produce a big day for Diggs. Look for him to eclipse the 100 receiving yard mark again and get back into the end zone.

BUF WR Stefon Diggs - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Miami Dolphins
When people mention the best receiver in the NFL, Stefon Diggs' name rarely comes up. Maybe it should. With the No. 2 receiver out, Diggs continued to put up numbers with 12 receptions for 148 yards and 3 touchdowns on Monday night. That makes back-to-back 100+ receiving yard games and 20 total catches to start the season. Yes, it helps to have Josh Allen as your quarterback, but Diggs is making a lot of plays on his own.

The Dolphins are up next and are ranked 21st in aFPA to wide receivers after two weeks. Last season, he was limited in his production with a combined 9 receptions for 100 in the two meetings against Miami. However, he did have two touchdown receptions in those games.

Start Diggs as a top-5 fantasy receiver for Week 3. Right now, it's been impossible to stop him and despite the Dolphins success last year containing him, we feel he is at a whole other level so far in 2022.

BUF WR Stefon Diggs - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Tennessee
Stefon Diggs didn't disappoint last Thursday night. He was targeted 9 times, caught 8 passes for 122 yard and a touchdown. This is what he is capable each week and the way the Bills offense played, expect a lot of games with these type of numbers.

Tennessee is up next and after the first week, they are 31st in aFPA to wide receivers. The Titans secondary is decent, but Diggs has the advantage in this matchup.

Start Diggs in all leagues and formats as a solid WR1 receivers. Until someone shows they can contain him, he will be dangerous every week and one of the top fantasy receivers in the NFL.

BUF WR Stefon Diggs - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at Los Angeles Rams
Stefon Diggs caught over 100 passes for over 1,200 yards and 10 TDs in 2022 and he is just hitting his prime. Buffalo's offense is one of the best with QB Josh Allen and Diggs is his most reliable target.

The Bills face the Rams who were 7th in aFPA to wide receivers in 2021. More important, Diggs will be matched up against Pro Bowl corner Jalen Ramsey. This won't limit Diggs from having a good fantasy night, but it also probably means he won't go off with a fantasy night to remember.

Start Diggs as a solid WR1 for Week 1. We expect the Bills to throw the ball alot and he should see double digit targets, even with Ramsey. Six catches for 80+ yards should be the expectation for Thursday which is still a good night for any receiver.

BUF WR Stefon Diggs - 2022 Fantasy Football Outlook

2022 Fantasy Upside
Stefon Diggs was one of the best receivers in the NFL last season and continues to be a major fantasy impact player. He caught 103 passes last season for 1,225 yards and his 164 targets were 5th in the NFL. He also had a career-high 10 touchdowns in 2021. He will continue to be the first option for QB Josh Allen in the Buffalo passing game. The Bills will move him around in the offensive sets to limit the double-teams, but last season he still found ways to get open.

2022 Fantasy Downside
Although his fantasy numbers were off the charts, his overall stats took a step back last season, with the exception of touchdowns, despite the same amount of targets. Part of the reason is NFL defenses are now game-planning against Diggs and that will limit his production at times. He had 24 more receptions in 2020 with 310 less yards.

2022 Bottom Line
Diggs is easily a top 5 fantasy receiver playing with arguably the best quarterback in the NFL. No matter what defenses do, they will not stop him from producing. Many teams are taking him the first round as their WR1 and that is a good call because he will play that way again 2022. His numbers still might take a step back from last year because of the attention he attracts and Buffalo has put more weapons on the field at other positions, but he will still have huge WR1 numbers.
