Scouting report

BUF WR Stefon Diggs - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Atlanta
It has been a strange fantasy run for Stefon Diggs whose stat line has been repeating every other week. This past Sunday, he was back up to 13 targets and 7 receptions. The week before he had 7 targets and 4 receptions. Then 13 and 7. Then 7 and 4 again. So if you go by that trend, he is due to be back at 7 targets and 4 receptions again. One positive we have seen is back-to-back games with touchdown receptions.

Diggs will face the Falcons this Sunday who are ranked 30th in aFPA to wide receivers. Maybe that mismatch will stop his recent trend and Diggs will get those double-digit targets again this week.

Start Diggs as a solid WR1 for Week 17. One thing to keep in mind is that all the other receivers should be back this week so that might spread the ball around a little more and keep Diggs from being a top 5 receiver.

BUF WR Stefon Diggs - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at New England
Stefon Diggs and the Buffalo passing game were limited last week as he ended up with four receptions for 35 yards. He did score a touchdown to help fantasy owners. The Bills were actually able to mount a running game so the passing game wasn't as prominent as recent weeks.

Diggs will face the Patriots for the second time this season. New England ranks 3rd in aFPA to wide receivers. He had four catches for 51 yards in the first meeting. When Diggs gets double-digit targets, he is one of the best fantasy receivers.

Start Diggs for Week 16. He is a solid WR1 against the Pats. His numbers should be better than the first meeting with New England.

BUF WR Stefon Diggs - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Carolina

Stefon Diggs had double-digit targets for the first time in five weeks and it produced seven receptions for 74 yards. After scoring touchdowns in three straight games and five of six, he has not reached the end zone the last two games. Diggs owners would love to see QB Josh Allen throw the ball 50+ times again this week, because Diggs targets will stay at the level we were used to seeing last week.

Diggs faces the Panthers who are ranked 18th in aFPA to wide receivers. We expect another big day for the Bills passing game as Carolina is tough against the run and Buffalo doesn't run the ball much anyway with their running backs.

Start Diggs as a low-end WR1 for Week 15. The big games that were common last season have been few and far between in 2021. He will put up solid numbers but it's tough to rank him as one of the top fantasy receivers, even with double-digit targets.

BUF WR Stefon Diggs - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Tampa Bay
Weather basically made the passing game useless on Monday so Stefon Diggs was limited with four receptions for 51 yards. Hard to draw any conclusion from a game with 40 mph wind gusts. Diggs remains one of the best receivers in the NFL and fantasy.

Buffalo travels to Florida where the weather will be slightly better. Diggs will face the Buccaneers who are ranked 9th in aFPA to wide receivers. Tampa's defense has been up and down and the secondary has struggled with injuries.

Once again, Diggs is a solid WR1. Expect him to get his share of targets and have good numbers for Week 14 despite a slightly unfavorable matchup.

BUF WR Stefon Diggs - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. New England
Stefon Diggs is doing one thing he didn't do a lot last season - scoring touchdowns. He had another one last Sunday which means he has scored five touchdowns in the last five weeks. Diggs also had seven receptions for 74 yards last week. He remains the main passing target in the offense.

Diggs has a tough matchup as the Patriots are ranked sixth in aFPA to wide receivers. It's a huge showdown on Monday night between these two teams. Diggs did have two big games against New England last season although the 2021 Pats defense is much better.

Start Diggs in all leagues and formats as a solid WR1 for Week 13. This game could go either way and the offenses could go in either direction as well.

BUF WR Stefon Diggs - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at New Orleans

Stefon Diggs had only six targets last week which was his lowest amount since Week 5. He ended up with only four catches for 23 yards, but he scored two touchdowns. and now has five in the past five games. Diggs' numbers were crazy last year except for the touchdowns, but the scores are keeping him consistently high in the rankings.

Diggs will face the Saints who are ranked 30th in aFPA to wide receivers. We expect the Bills to bounce back on national TV after a poor showing last Sunday.

With a very favorable matchup, expect Diggs to get back to double-digit targets and have a big Thanksgiving eve. Start him as a solid WR1 for Week 12.

BUF WR Stefon Diggs - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Indianapolis

Stefon Diggs looked a little like 2020 with a 13 target day that produced eight receptions for 162 yards a touchdown. It was by far his best game of the season and hopefully a sign of things to come down the stretch for his owners. Diggs has been solid most of the season, but that was only his second 100+ receiving yard game in 2021.

Diggs will face a Colts team that has struggled to stop the pass. Indy ranks 29th in aFPA to wide receivers. This opens the door for another big game for the Buffalo passing game.

Start Diggs as a top 5 fantasy wide receiver for Week 11. The last game could be a spark for him to get back to 2020 form which means huge fantasy numbers.
