Scouting report

PHI WR DeVonta Smith - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. New Orleans Saints
DeVonta Smith has been on fire with three 100+ receiving yard game in his past four. He also has four touchdowns over that stretch including two last game. A.J. Brown's production has been similar and that is with two different quarterbacks throwing to them. The Eagles receiving duo might be the best in the NFL right now.

Smith as a tough matchup against the Saints who are ranked eighth in aFPA to wide receivers. It really shouldn't matter. Smith should have another good fantasy outing.

Start Smith as a solid WR2 for Week 17. The numbers should be good no matter who quarterbacks the Eagles offense as Smith has been steady the second half of the season.

PHI WR DeVonta Smith - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Dallas Cowboys
The Eagles passing was clicking last week with two players amassing 100+ receiving yards including DeVonta Smith. He actually averaged over 25 yards per catch against Chicago. The receiving yard total was his second highest of the season and second time he went over 100 yards in the last three weeks.

Smith will face the Cowboys who are ranked 23rd in aFPA to wide receivers. In the first meeting with Dallas, he had five receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown. With QB Jalen Hurts out, the Eagles passing game will take a step back, but still have some success with the favorable matchup.

Smith should start as a high-end WR3 or Flex for Week 16. Definitely lower than lately because of the Hurts factor, but still will get you some fantasy points.

PHI WR DeVonta Smith - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Chicago Bears
The consistency for DeVonta Smith continues as he has been targeted either 8 or 9 times over the last five games. Last week, he caught five passes for 64 yards and added a touchdown for the second straight week. He is a nice complement to A.J. Brown in an Eagles offense that is very efficient.

Smith faces the Bears who are ranked 22nd in aFPA to wide receivers. Should be another good afternoon for the Eagles offense.

Start Smith as a solid WR2 for Week 15. He has been very reliable to get fantasy points every week and this matchup dictates that should continue.

PHI WR DeVonta Smith - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at New York Giants
DeVonta Smith recorded his second 100-yard receiving game of the season but first since Week 3. He also scored his fourth touchdown of the season. The successful outing came despite a huge game from A.J. Brown, as the passing game was red-hot last Sunday.

Smith will face the Giants who are ranked 19th in aFPA to wide receivers. He has been much better in recent weeks as his fantasy numbers hit a slump midseason.

Start Smith as a solid WR2 for Week 14.The Giants pass defense hasn't been great and Philly should be able put up some good passing numbers in what should be an intense division game.

PHI WR DeVonta Smith - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Tennessee Titans
DeVonta Smith has had a minimum of eight targets in four out of the last five games. However, the production hasn't reflected that usage with only one game over that stretch with over 50 receiving yards. The Eagles passing game hasn't been as efficient the past several weeks.

Tennessee is up next and is ranked 29th in aFPA to wide receivers. It is a good matchup to get the Eagles passing game back on track. Start Smith as a high-end WR3 or Flex for Week 13. If the targets continue to be high, eventually the production will be higher.

PHI WR DeVonta Smith - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Green Bay Packers
DeVonta Smith had his best game since Week 5 with six receptions for 78 yards. The Eagles passing game hasn't been good in recent weeks after lighting up most defenses earlier in the season.

Smith faces Green Bay who is ranked 12th in aFPA to wide receivers. He should remain a consistent target for QB Jalen Hurts. Start Smith as a low-end WR2 for Week 12. Philly should have a good night throwing the football.

PHI WR DeVonta Smith - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Indianapolis Colts
It was a strange game for DeVonta Smith who caught six passes but for only 39 yards. He did score his third touchdown of the season. With A.J. Brown held in check, Smith became more of a target on Monday, but the production in the passing game was lower than the Eagles have been putting out this season.

Smith faces Indianapolis who is ranked 2nd in aFPA to wide receivers. The targets and receptions might be about the same, but the hope is Smith gets downfield more this week.

Start Smith as a low-end WR2 for Week 11. This matchup on the road could limit the Philly passing game again this week.
