Fantasy Upside
Zamir White has been given the keys to the Raiders' castle with the departure of Josh Jacobs. We have Zamir White as a low-end RB2 option with about 1,100 total yards on 270 opportunities. His upside would come from a double-digit touchdown season. We have him projected for seven touchdowns but if he could get to 10 or 11, that would be good enough to jump 10 spots in the rankings.
Fantasy Downside
The downside for White is his lack of involvement in the passing game. We have him projected for just 29 receptions. That's lower than almost everyone in the Top 40 running backs. It's nice to have a receiving floor from backs that you're relying on every week. If he becomes too touchdown-dependent, and the touchdowns don't come, it's going to be a long season for his managers.
2024 Bottom Line
In redraft, I'm steering clear of White. He's going in the 8th round and there are way too many options at both running back and wide receiver in that range that have significantly higher upside.
