Week 7 Essential NFL Practice News & Notes for Wednesday

Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (right elbow) practiced fully Wednesday. Fitzpatrick is a Sneaky Start against the Patriots, who are #24 in QB aFPA. Fitzy has the #13 PPG through six weeks.

Browns QB Johnny Manziel (right elbow) practiced fully Wednesday.

Titans QB Marcus Mariota (knee) did not practice Wednesday. Mariota is expected to miss Week 7, making Zach Mettenberger a Sneaky Start against the Falcons.

Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (knee) took limited practice reps Wednesday. Roethlisberger is trying to return this week, but the odds may be against him. Stay tuned.

Chiefs QB Alex Smith (right thumb) practiced fully Wednesday. Smith should be fine to face the Steelers. Smith is quietly the #13 QB through six weeks, but he owns the #21 PPG.

Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (knee) took limited practice reps Wednesday. Taylor seems likely to play in Week 7, but we’ll monitor his progress.

Steelers QB Michael Vick (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday. Landry Jones would get the start if both Ben Roethlisberger and Vick are out. Vick is not expected to play.
