Championship Round Fantasy Football Practice News & Notes for Friday
Jaguars QB Blake Bortles (right wrist) took full practice reps all week. Bortles was removed from the injury report so he’s good to go.
Patriots QB Tom Brady (right hand, questionable) returned to take limited reps Friday after missing practice Thursday and is questionable for Week 20. Apparently, he needed four stitches on his knuckle after his hand hit a teammate’s helmet. Brady is expected to play against the Jaguars, but the status of his hand is a question mark.
Patriots RB Rex Burkhead (knee, questionable) took limited practice reps all week and is questionable for Week 20. Burkhead didn’t play last week but looks like a good bet to play against the Jaguars. Dion Lewis is the best play in the New England backfield, but Burkhead was hot prior to his injury.
Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (ankle) took limited practice reps all week. Fournette is good to go to face the Patriots, who have yielded 4.7 yards per carry on the ground. The Patriots have given up the fifth-fewest rushing attempts since they spend so much time with a lead. The Jaguars will need to stay patient with the run if they hope to pull off the upset in Foxboro.
Patriots RB Mike Gillislee (knee, questionable) took limited practice reps all week and is questionable for Week 20. Even if Gillislee is healthy enough to play, there’s no guarantee that he’ll be active. He has been a healthy scratch several times this season.
Vikings WR Michael Floyd (illness) was removed from the injury report Friday.
Vikings WR Adam Thielen (back, questionable) took limited practice reps again Friday and is questionable for Week 20. Thielen is expected to play through the back injury against the Eagles.
