IDP Waiver Wire - Week 15 Targets

Congratulations (again)! Clearly you’ve survived the first week of the fantasy playoffs, but I’m guessing that if you’re here and reading this IDP waiver wire article, all is not well and you need to pick someone up. Don’t worry though, I’ve got you covered with some more recommendations. It’s probably worth checking the last few weeks' worth of suggested pickups too as I try not to repeat myself if at all possible when making these recommendations.

Linebackers

Matt Judon - Baltimore Ravens

Last week’s suggested picks at linebacker were of the more traditional kind - three-down linebackers who gain the majority of their fantasy points through tackles. This week we’ll kick things off with a more aggressive, boom-or-bust recommendation in Matt Judon. Ignore the fact he registered just 10 total tackles in the last three games and focus on his 4.5 sacks and three forced fumbles since Week 11. In fact, over the last month, thanks to his splash plays, Judon has been a fringe LB1, making him an asset well worth considering. Making this an even stronger play is the fact the Ravens Week 15 opponents are the Jets, who have allowed 47 sacks this season (=4th worst) so the opportunity for Judon to continue his run of decent fantasy performances looks strong.

Kevin Pierre-Louis - Chicago Bears

A season-ending pectoral injury to Roquan Smith means that there is an opportunity in Chicago and it's Kevin Pierre-Louis who is expected to step up. Playing 43 snaps in place of Smith on Thursday night once he was injured, Pierre-Louis recorded six total tackles, including one for a loss. Sometimes opportunity is more important than talent and grabbing three-down linebacker from the waiver wire this late in the season is a rarity, which makes Pierre-Louis a desirable addition to any needy roster.
