Streaming Quarterbacks: Week 11 Targets

We’re just a short time away from the fantasy playoffs, and each matchup will be heavily scrutinized prior to lock. We’ll remember every dropped pass and agonize over it as the reason for a fantasy team’s season falling short. An interception will be met with instant regret for choosing one quarterback over another. The stakes are getting higher with teams finalizing their place in the standings to make a run, and the quarterback position becomes the most important decision from here on out.

With the playoffs in mind, I’ll be switching up the ‘Look Ahead’ section to focus on Weeks 14 through 16 starting next week. It’ll give fantasy managers some time to stash viable options without clogging up bench slots with byes still occurring. With that in mind, let’s review last week’s recommendations and dive into Week 11.

Week 10 Review

A weather delay to start off the game for Baker Mayfield was a sure sign that there would be issues. Luckily, the deep plays held up salvaging the week as we head into Week 11.

Mayfield’s Week 8 stats in high winds gave us an idea of what to expect coming into Week 10. Winds were at or above 30 mph and he was held to just 6.6 YPA on 20 attempts. In addition, with Nick Chubb back to boost their rushing attack, the Browns wound up passing on just 32.3% of their plays. The weather played a major factor here impacting another game requiring adjustments from fantasy managers.

“Lock’s passing and rushing scores gave us the results we needed but his -7.9% CPOE will inject some volatility into even the best matchups.”

I noted some concerns with Lock heading into Week 10, but the matchup was difficult to overlook. Week 10 was the first time the Raiders have recorded four interceptions since Week 7 of 2019. Variance doesn’t cover up multiple turnovers and just seven yards rushing won’t give us a stable floor. We’ll need to see more from Lock in the future before trusting him in our lineups again.
