Fantasy Football Quarterback Streaming Week 16: Another Purdy Good Week to Start Brock
The NFL didn’t disappoint during the first week of the playoffs. Saturday’s contests were barn burners from start to finish, and Sunday kept us on our toes all afternoon. But we’re not done yet. We’ve still got a couple more weeks to chase a title, so I’ve got a few more streaming options at quarterback for the final push.

I knew it was a wrap after Brock Purdy completed the first touchdown pass to George Kittle. I’m not going to debate how much of Purdy’s success goes to the scheme, but it works nonetheless. The 49ers are still top 10 in EPA per play, with eight of their 21 drives resulting in a touchdown. They’ve got another positive matchup in Week 16, so I’ll have more on Purdy shortly. But let’s talk about the deeper options real quick.
If you had told me the Colts score 36 points against a defense allowing over 400 yards per game, I’d expect to see Matt Ryan up near the top 12. Also, Jonathan Taylor went out early, putting the focus on the passing game. But it was their defense playing the pivotal role in building (and tearing down) their lead. Ryan couldn’t cash in on the Vikings’ secondary with one fewer passing option leaving us with a dud. Andy Dalton had a similar result, but for a different reason.
New Orleans scored three passing touchdowns, but Dalton was only responsible for two. Taysom Hill uncorked a deep shot to Shaheed, taking away 6.7 points from Dalton. Big plays like these cap Dalton’s ceiling, making him a tough start this deep in the playoffs.
