Week 17 IDP Waiver Wire: Pickups & Targets (Fantasy Football 2022)
It feels like yesterday I was writing up my Week 1 IDP waiver wire article. In the words of Paul McCartney, "Fantasy was such an easy game to play, Now I need a place to hide away." Okay, maybe Sir Paul didn't use fantasy football as his example, but hopefully, you've advanced to your fantasy championship.
If you have, congratulations and heed the words of Eddie Vedder in the song 'Seven O' Clock', "For this is no time for depression or self-indulgent hesitance, this situation calls for all hands, hands on deck." And he's right. All hands on deck. Hopefully, the injury bug didn't bite you too badly in Week 16, but there's some bad timing with rotations that have reared their ugly heads, so here are the targets for your IDP waiver in Week 17.
Linebacker
Robert Spillane, LB, Pittsburgh Steelers
Spillane has consecutive weeks of having 100% usage in the defense. He was strictly their dime LB but has taken over the three-down role.
Myles Jack and Devin Bush’s usage has drastically decreased over the last few weeks. Spillane has taken over the play-calling duties and is wearing the dot, so he’s not leaving the field as the primary signal-caller on defense.
