9 Impact Rookies from the First Round of the 2023 NFL Draft
Draft capital plays a big role in a rookie's potential usage. First-round picks typically play right away, though they don't always see enough targets or touches to be fantasy starters in year one. Here's a look at the rookies with the best chance to make a fantasy impact in 2023.
I'll be back with Part 2 with a look at the potential impact rookies from Round 2 to Round 7.
Bijan Robinson, RB, Falcons
As expected, Robinson emerged from the first round as the biggest impact rookie of this year’s draft class. We are talking fantasy impact here, so even though a couple of rookie quarterbacks are likely to start from the get-go, Robinson is the clear No. 1 pick in rookie drafts. Tyler Allgeier had a good rookie season, but he’s not going to be much of a factor with Robinson in the lead role. Prior to Robinson, six running backs were picked inside the top 10 since the 2010 Draft. As rookies, those backs averaged 296 touches for 1,510 total yards and 11.7 touchdowns.
