Perfect Fantasy Football Draft: 3rd in a 12-Team ESPN PPR League
When you draft from the 1.03 in ESPN PPR Leagues, you’re at the mercy of whoever has the 1.02 in a lot of ways. When one of the two people in front of you gets cute and goes off the board, it can allow you to have a super team. Even when they don’t, it’s an excellent roster spot. When the dust settles on this season, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the 1.03 with a higher-than-usual win rate.
Drafters, especially in casual leagues, don’t spend enough time thinking about the starting lineup requirements and point system. That should be the place that you always start when preparing for a draft. You wouldn’t start a new board game with friends without knowing the general rules and setup, so why would you do the same in fantasy?
For the purposes of this perfect draft piece, we’ll be assuming 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, and 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE), and 7 Bench Spots.
In this article, I will walk through my favorite players in each round that should be available based on ESPN ADP and discuss my overall draft strategy from this spot.
