Fantasy Football Defense Streaming Week 13: Target Tim Boyle

We’ve all been there. You’re sitting in your draft, and someone reaches for a defense way too early. Defenses are notoriously tricky to project year-over-year. Some of the best fantasy defenses of the last decade have turned in performances where they benefited from turnover luck one year and ran dry the next. When drafting, I treat the D/ST spot on my roster as a revolving door, and I’m specifically drafting for Week 1 or the first few weeks of the season.

As we work our way through the season, this article will serve as a place to identify streaming options. The only criterion is that the teams we discuss are rostered in less than 40% of leagues on Yahoo or ESPN.

Week 12 Recap

The Giants-Patriots game went exactly as expected. With a final score of 10-7, the two defenses combined for eight sacks and three interceptions. They both wound up tied for D/ST9 when the dust settled on Week 12. Our alternative option, the Denver Broncos, scored a touchdown in addition to their four sacks and one pick. That was good enough for a D/ST2 finish, only trailing Miami. Counting the Patriots, since they were listed first, puts us firmly in top-10 D/ST territory for the top options so far this season. Let's see what we have on tap for Week 13. The well is a bit dry this week, but there are a couple of intriguing options.
