Week 3 NFL Player Props: Best Player Props to Bet from Connor Allen
Another week in the books, and another 4for4 analyst crushed their bets. Ryan Noonan won over 6 units total, including an 8-4 week of tackle props. For those of you who think "tackle props" sounds boring, it may not be a typical sweat, but it’s easy to get hooked because we win. Noonan is hitting over 63% of his tackle props since he started betting them last season. He does his own projections each week using a variety of metrics that give him and our betting subscribers an edge each week. I'm sure not everyone feels this way, but I'm usually having the most fun when I'm winning. Week 2 Recap: We wound up a little in the red this week, but we could have easily finished up a few units. We started really hot, going 5-1 in the afternoon slate. From there, it was a disaster. Christian McCaffrey had 3 receptions with 4 minutes left in the third quarter. He didn’t get another catch the rest of the game, busting our play on over 3.5 receptions. I really liked another afternoon play on Courtland Sutton’s under at 51.5. He had 0 receiving yards at halftime and just 17 yards with 12 minutes left in the fourth quarter. He actually caught a pass with 10 seconds left to put him at 51 on the dot, and I thought we were going to escape with a narrow win.
On the very next play, he caught another pass to get him to 66 yards. Absolutely brutal run out. This was all topped off on Monday Night by Nick Chubb suffering a brutal leg injury a minute into the second quarter, already with 64 rushing yards. We had over 75.5, beating the market by nearly 10 full yards at most books. It was an incredible matchup with Cameron Hayward out, and Chubb was crushing them through a quarter of play. Obviously losing a bet on an injury that was otherwise very, very likely to hit is never fun. I was frustrated, to say the least, not only for our bet but for Nick Chubb and the impact this will have on his career. Losing talented players to injury is bad for everyone.
Week 3 started off with a nice two-unit hit on Thursday night football winning both Daniel Jones over 31.5 pass attempts and under 18.5 carries for Christian McCaffrey. Both won by the hook but after last week, I will absolutely take it.
