Week 13 IDP Matchups to Exploit & Streaming Options

In this space, the weekly targets will range from individual players and positional groups to entire defensive units. IDP leagues are like snowflakes, so if you have specific questions, jump into our subscriber Discord, find the IDP channel, and tag me with any questions you have. Some of you play in leagues where all of these players are already owned, and some of you play in IDP leagues where only 3-4 players are rostered on each team, so the players listed below might not even be on your radar, so don't be afraid to reach out. Also, don't forget to check out the Waiver Wire column and IDP Rankings as well.

Sometimes, I'll reference a player who's nearly universally rostered across all IDP leagues, but perhaps that'll help you with a potential start/sit decision you were wrestling with.

Ideally, you drafted a set-it-and-forget-it IDP roster, rendering this column useless to you all season long, but that's not how life works. The Waiver Wire column should help as well, but I want to use this space weekly to highlight some of the best matchup spots on the slate, along with any corresponding defenders who are in line to benefit.

Week 13 IDP Matchups To Exploit

Dallas Cowboys Pass Rush

Kudos to Brain Daboll for scheming up a game plan that quickly got the ball out of Tommy DeVito's hands against Tampa Bay. That limited the damage, but DeVito was still pressured on 40% of his dropbacks on the day, taking four sacks in total. DeVito took a few really hard hits, and he appears questionable for Thanksgiving's matchup against Dallas, but I think he's more probable than truly questionable at this point.

I think we'll see more of that quick passing game this week, but I want to go back to the well and target pass rushers against DeVito and the Giants. If you missed the notes on this last week, DeVito posted a comically high 37.4% pressure-to-sack rate in his limited time as a starter in 2023. For context, only one other starting quarterback in the league this season (min. 120 dropbacks) has a pressure-to-sack rate north of 30%, and that's Will Levis. Micah Parsons is the low-hanging fruit here, but a few off-the-board targets include Osa Odighizuwa and Chauncey Golston. Those are deeper league looks this week, especially with no bye weeks to cover, but the sneakier play is linebacker DeMarvion Overshown.

Through the first six weeks, Overshown totaled 17 pass rush snaps. After the Cowboys' Week 7 bye, Overshown's role has shifted. He has 49 pass rush snaps over the past five weeks, with no fewer than eight in any game. This usage impacts his floor as a tackler but brings into play more big play upside. He had a season-high five quarterback pressures on 13 pass rush snaps last week against the Commanders, which included his fifth sack of the season. Per NextGenStats, Overshown has generated 21 pressures on 66 pass rushes this season, a pressure rate of 31.8%, tying him with Kaden Ellis for the most by an off-ball linebacker. He is the only off-ball linebacker to record multiple pressures in five consecutive games, totaling seven games with multiple pressures, the highest in the league.
