Welcome to The Showdown breakdown for the first of two games in our Week 15 Monday Night Football slate, an enticing matchup between the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings have a ton to play for in this matchup, as they can gain ground on the first-place Lions, who fell in a thriller against the Bills this Sunday, while the Bears can keep their slim playoff hopes alive with a surprise upset. Both teams are also relatively healthy, at least for this part of the season. The Bears are more banged up than Minnesota and have ruled out an offensive lineman, a defensive lineman, and a running back, but still have the depth at all positions to be competitive. Minnesota is close to full strength on both offense and defense, and it's usually a good thing when a good team starts getting healthy this time of year.
