Week 17 Best Bets on Rebet: Jake's Best Bets

Every week I’ll be posting a few of my favorite plays in this article with brief write-ups of each play. I’ll use this space up top to recap the previous week and share any thoughts or takeaways I have going forward.

Week 16 Recap: 4-0, +$400 (assuming $100 units)

Week 17: 1-0 after D.J. Moore cashed OVER 5.5 receptions (+118) in last night’s game.

Overall: 36-23, +$956 (assuming $100 units)

It felt nice to get back on track last week after a couple of mediocre weeks. Our Brandin Cooks win and the Chase Brown win were both sweat-free for the most part, as the Bengals played with a lead most of the game. Brown only caught three balls. Cooks also cashed in in the first quarter on a 29-yard catch. We won both Smartt and Malik by one catch. Malik was sweaty as he caught all 3 of his receptions in the first half; lucky for us, he was blanked in the 2H, and we squeaked out the win. Like the Malik win, Smartt had three receptions relatively early in the game, but we held on and held him catchless for the last 1.5 quarters.

Week 17 NFL Best Bets

D.J. Moore OVER 5.5 Receptions (+118) Prop City – WIN

Released in Discord on 12/24. Moore has gone over this number in SIX straight weeks and has been getting peppered with short targets in the Bears offense under interim HC Thomas Brown. Now Chicago gets a matchup on Thursday Night football against a Seattle team 4th in PROE on the season, so we should see a pretty high play volume here. The Seattle secondary is nothing to fear, so we should see another big game for Moore, and I really like getting this at plus money.

Javonte Williams OVER 2.5 Receptions (+107) Prop City

Released in Discord on 12/26. Javonte is coming off a game in which he had seven receptions on an insane 11 targets. His season-long TPRR of 0.24 is pretty impressive. The Bengals play fast and pile on points quickly, which could force Bo to drop back more than usual. If Jaleel returns this week, he won't move the needle much here as he has shockingly not been used much in the passing game this season.

Tyreek Hill OVER 53.5 Receiving Yards (-114) Prop City

Released in Discord on 12/27. Tyreek hasn't been himself this season, clearing 100 yards only twice this season. But the Dolphins are still in the AFC playoff picture in a must-win game against the Browns this weekend. The Browns have been getting torched by opposing WR1s: 97 to Ja'Marr Chase, 102 to Sutton, 87 to MVS, 118 to Quentin Johnston, and 115 to Zay Flowers, just to name a few. There is also a good chance of rain in Cleveland on Sunday, so we could see Tyreek peppered with short targets and a chance to make some big plays after the catch.
